Oh, I thought that was in reference to something I don't know.

I thought you simply liked greasy men?

Why the hell aren't more girls like you?

Cate when we first got together decided to make up a mental disorder for my obsession with cars. She called it "Car Tourettes". Marie....she more or less took a slight interest and then a year after cheating me blogged about how much she learned from me and how she regretted ruining the chance to learn more.

Any other girls that end up around me get turned off by the fact that all I want to think about is oversquare 6 cylinder engines with 270+ duration cams, GT35R or bigger turbos, 125 wet shots, aluminum driveshafts, helical limited slip differentials, 4 piston aluminum brake calipers, two piece rotors and 275+ width tires.

^ Yeah that's basically all I want in life

Back on topic, my other german love

I do like greasy men, but my signature is a reference to classic cars. Mostly things like VWs.

I don't! Modern HEMIs aren't HEMIs because their combustion chambers aren't hemispherical. The originals aren't that great really a 440 6 pack is a better engine for street use and debatably track. Doesn't help that I don't like any Mopar products. Their inferior headflow and as a result lack of power do not impress me. A good modern cylinder head is far from hemispherical, I think I read that 15 degrees was commonly accepted as a good angle between valves.

Just because people like the wrong engines doesn't mean I like the wrong people :P

Still, there is NO legitimate reason to like a Hemi
60s & 70s
Availibility: Chevy and Ford engines are way more easy to get
Power: Ford wins a lot of current engine building competitions, Chevy remains a close second
Chassis: The Mustang has always been a better chassis for drag racing and arguably other forms of racing than any of it's domestic competitors except for the Corvette.

Modern....pretty much all comes down to power and chassis. The Challenger is built on a 300C chassis and weighs more than the Camaro or Mustang. The Mustang is currently leading the horsepower wars, Chevy in second and Dodge in last. Consumer Reports usually rates Ford the most reliable, Chevy second and Dodge 3rd. Ford engines are more complex than Chevy engines and I really haven't studied the modern hemi that much but they look like trouble.

My favorite muscle car engines will forever be the Buick 215 and the Ford 428 Cobra Jet

My favorite muscle car is the one I already posted... a FORD Torino with the hood scoop. I like all models, but my favorite is 71.

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet
410hp (advertised 335hp)
3600lbs
0-60 - 5.7 Seconds
1/4 - 13.9 Seconds

vs
Charger R/T
425hp
3800lbs
0-60 - 5.5 Seconds
1/4 - 13.9 Seconds

vs
Ford Torino Cobra
370hp
????lbs
0-60 - 6.0
1/4 - 13.9

Somehow I think mine corners best, looks best and is the best :P The difference in 0-60 times could be tires, 1/4 miles are the same.
