My username is just my AOL name. I have not use it in years though. My avatar is just a photo of me playing my trumpet. It's taken from one of my Youtube videos.

Mine is a name I use for cosplay, also a nickname. The avatar is a quote from Neon Genesis Evangelion, because it's... awesome. :D

I chose 'Pseudeos' because I like birds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dusky_Lory and my avatar is Enid from Ghost World, which is one of my favourite movies.

decoding my username:

aunt= the crazy aunt in the basement that nobody wants to acknowledge [ross perot's phrase describing the national debt]

blabby= i blab on a lot about things.

this was also a stock character in johnny carson's "the might carson art players" on his "tonight show" program of decades back.

as for my avatar, it is none other than Henry Corwin, a depressed and thoroughly disappated department store santa who has seen better days, from the old "Twilight Zone" tv series. in my own haphazard way, i chose this avatar mainly because it was the only one i could get to fit within WPs technical display limitations for avatars. but he also looks a bit like me, and we both are faded versions of real people.

Dossa is a voodoo reference regarding the sacred twins... dossa is the feminine part of the twins. My family has a tendency to produce twins, so I have always been rather fascinated by them... plus I am a gemini, so that likely does not lessen my fascination any.

The avatar... the gas mask girl... when I signed on here, I was into drawing gas masks and as a result, I had several pictures of gas masks on my computer that I had found here and there. I always like this picture and in a way I can relate to the girl. A lot of the time I feel thrown into situations that seem to not make much sense to me and I find the bulk of my interactions with others to be somewhat suffocating and deafening. Besides, my life can be surreal and to show up to a ball in a gas mask seems more than fitting and appropriate to me.

my avatar is the robot on an old TV series called "lost in space"

i very much identified with the robot when i was a small child and watched reruns of that series in the late 70's and early 80's.

i had no other role models. i never identified with anyone at all except for the robot who i could understand.

his voice soothed me and his attitude seemed relevant to me.
other kids in the playground at school pretended that they were various people like superman or a policeman or a fireman etc. i never wanted to play with them because i did not identify with their adopted personages.
there was a short period of about 1 year where i did play with them, and i pretended i was the robot, but it never really worked.
other kids had real (ish) characters as their pretend personages and i had the sterile robot as mine. i retracted my arms as far as i could into my sleeves and spoke in the same voice (in my mind it was the same) as the robot and i said things that were as detached from human personality as i knew the robot would say.
i felt stronger than the other kids because i had a potential 40,000 volt charge that i could zap them with if i needed to (which i never employed because i knew in reality i did not have that kind of power, and i did not want to crush my imaginary world).

after a while i lost interest because my imaginary persona was very stunted compared to the other kids.
i shuffled along like the robot on tracks, and i did not listen to the other kids banter as the robot did not listen to the humans much in lost in space. i just made weather observations and other unrelated types of observations that were irrelevant to their play, so i retreated to my own part of the ground and played by myself.

the closest i ever came to integrating socially with anyone was with the guise of the robot. it did not wash, and it mirrored the case with the robot on lost in space who was always seen as just a machine by the humans in the series.

the robot on lost in space had no name except in one episode where he identified himself as "an environmental assessment unit model B9" to an alien who demanded to know his model number.

the humans always called him "robot" and they never called him by his real name because they did not care because he was just a machine.

the robot was never mentioned in the closing credits of any show where every cast members real name was shown.

that is the explanation for my avatar and avatar name. i will never change it because i am still the child in the playground who wanted to play but realized i could not because i am just a machine in a way.

I'm very withdrawn and that's why I chose that nickname.
My avatar is supposed to look like me. I'm very sensitive to sound and sight. That's why the girl is holding her ears and looking frightened. There are people in the background.

Every time I see your user name in a thread, I hear Patrick Stewart saying that.

He could read the Oxford English Dictionary and it would sound awesome :D

as for me, my username, Dellingr, is the name of an obscurish norse god, mainly known for being the father of the personification of day, Dagr. Some academics think Dellingr was the personification of dawn. I stumbled across both of the above while reading a Too Human fanfic and loved the norse pronunciation, particularly of the r on the end without benefit of a preceding vowel :D.

the avatar is a character portrait from an AGS game that a friend of mine made years back, which I randomly found on my hard drive recently

My username comes from a character in a book I was writing a few years ago. It was original to a degree but I stop writing the book for many reasons. As for my avatar, I have had many avatars before but my current one is the logo of Special Olympics Project UNIFY. I was an intern for them this summer and a possible future member of the team in Washington, D.C. at Special Olympics Inc Headquarters.

I was a rebel when I joined, I have the spirit and accent of a Cockney and my current avatar, which is my favourite of all the ones that I've used so far, portrays my dysfunctional family. Ray represents my mum, with that serious look, Dave represents my sister and he's looking down his nose at big, sensitive Mick with his fake smile, who represents myself and than Pete to the right, represents my dad with his head held high, with authority. I'll be using this one, a fair bit. The eerie part, is that we all look like those members, though my mum and dad have aged a bit.

my name is to do with the meaning of my real life name. my real name is Benjamin which means: child of my right hand, hence right-hand-child.

as for the avatar, it would be difficult to explain if you didnt know the actual character it was. he's the leader of some gang in a game i play who is outwardly aggressive but a helpfull person in truth, and i suppose i can relate to the latter two
