The future is based entirely on current knowledge of the person in question. Alot of assumption are also made as well, though I try to be realistic about it. Things I take into consideration when predicting the future:

Diagnosis
Profile
Age
My experience with the average person
Knowledge of Psychology
Guessing
Statistics

And if there are any silly or ambigious questions, they get silly or ambigious answers. I can sort of piece together the past based on their personality and what they post on the forums.
