Is that a black Maine Coon? Regardless of breed that cat is gorgeous.

No, he's actually a Persian mix. We don't know what else he's mixed with, but he could be part Maine Coon! Can you believe he's actually fourteen years old?

Is he really lazy or active?

He's pretty active. Sometimes he still runs around with his tail curled over like he's a kitten again! And he's constantly trying to sneak outside since he was a barn cat before we owned him. He's doing extremely well for his age.

He doesn't look like he has a persian coat, it looks more like a Main Coon or Norweigan Forest Cat coat. Especially the fur around his paws and face. Persians sort of have long hair everywhere and it's quite homogenious which makes it really difficult to manage.

Yeah, unlike Persians, he has very silky fur. But he has a Persian-like face and sort of stubby legs. We actually used to have a Maine Coon and she was a lot bigger than Halloween, although he's only twelve pounds. I've never seen an actual Norweigian Forest Cat except for just pictures so he could have a little bit of that in him for all I know. Oh, and although we didn't own Halloween originally, we do know his mom was also big and long-haired since he tried to get milk out of a big, long-haired toy cat when I was seven. lol
