There is this vintage clothing shop in Austin, which is about an hour away from my house, called Passport Vintage. I am so excited to go there next Saturday! :D

There are also some pictures of some of the clothing:

he's the sonic equivalent of that sound fx guy [Michael Winslow] in the "Police Academy" movies of a few decades back. but instead of making sound fx he makes musical fx with his mouth, very cleverly.

Does he do lots of squeaks, and clicks, pops, and farty/squish noises? Because that's mostly what I do.

he does some of that but always in a musically appropriate way, in emulation of musical instruments playing an accompaniment or solo. he is not like Michael Winslow in that he doesn't make funny noises for laughs.

I don't make them for laughs, usually. It's mostly just a stimmy thing.

My dad actually brought it home, he found it while he was with my mom. It is an electronic typewriter, it works great and believe it or not, it actually has ink in it! :D

no offense intended, but do you ever wonder if there may be a tourettes type of thing going on there?

It's not a tic, I don't do it constantly or uncontrollably. If I have tourettes at all, it's the kind that's just internal (I forget what it's called). Certain repetitive, profanity-laden music triggers it real bad.

Wow, surprised the ink hasn't dried up. I've always wanted to try one of those things just to hear the mechanical noise they make. What brand is it?

It is a Smith Corona XD 8000 typewriter. It looks something like this:

I believe it is from the 1980's.

How well does it type?
Is it the sort where you need to press the buttons fairly hard to make it work, or is it more similar to a modern keyboard?
