I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder ten years ago.

Two years later, my NT sister was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Our mom has been in denial ever since.

I'm sorry you're dealing with that, and with having a mother who isn't supportive of your attempts at seeking medical assistance for that issue.

You shouldn't have to conceal that you're seeking help, if she doesn't support your choice to seek help she needs to be told firmly that it's not any of her business and that you'll continue to make your medical decisions without her input. The less you tolerate her behaviour the less she'll engage in it because you'll have made it clear you're not putting up with it.

Our mom is also a perfectionist and when something doesn't go her way, she has a fit.

My Mom drives me insane with her emotional abuse and mind games yet she's the only family I have who gives a damn about me. I have to walk on eggshells around her so i dont get locked away in another group home or put out on the streets.

It's hard to deal with people like that, especially if one is dependent upon a person like that.

That said, it's usually easier to maintain a boundary than to set a new one, so the sooner you start the easier it will be.

Unless putting up with abuse is preferable, in which case that's your choice to make even if it's a regrettable one.

My NT sister has a strong hatred of men on the basis of stereotypes associated with men.

One example is that she believes whenever a man is in a relationship, he is in just for sex and not real love.

She is openly asexual much to the dismay of a pair of sexist paternal uncles who believe asexuality isn't real, that she's making it all up and that she's using her age to get out of wanting a boyfriend.

"So, have you found yourself a boyfriend?"

"No."

It sounds like she's projecting her lack of interest in romantic relationships onto men.

Because she can't conceive of desiring a romantic relationship, clearly those men don't, therefore it's all about sex.

My NT sister also believes all men are violent and arrogant, not treating women the "right way."

I don't want to be violent, but she wants me to be violent.

So, basically she has deep-seated opinions but little to no familiarity with the subject of those opinions?

I confess that if I could start over again, I would in a male body this time. I know who I am on the inside. I'm a man. I kept two secrets from my parents for years. Since I was 5, I hid that I identify as male until 2016. From 1986 until 2016, I hid that my favourite European country is Germany and not the UK. I did the Mod thing to look British to the world as a way of seeking acceptance because I thought that being myself would be dangerous. It probably would have been dangerous the last quarter of the 20th Century when the world was trying to forget about the 1st and 2nd World War and everything else in between. I haven't had a breakdown since the January of 2016. That's when I decided to stop playing Cockney Rebel and Mod and start being myself.
