lol not the good stuff just the weird stuff!! ! XD

*shrug* kel dor i guess. i mutch prefer race favourism. such as elves/dwarves/trolls/humans and so on. but that also includes aliens as aliens themselves each have a race.

i like the race that doesn't try to blow your head off. they get my vote.

I gues that does not include Predator and especialy in the latest film the one in it blows up like half a dozen heads, but it looks cool.

Wait what about mice that are studying the smartest creature in the galaxy: dolphins. I think I quoted right, I have only seen hitchhikers guide to the galaxy once ages ago.

According to the novel, dolphins are the second-smartest creatures on Earth, with humans coming third. In first place, of course, are the mice, who are really the three-dimensional projections of hyperintelligent pandimensional beings who constructed the Earth as a massive supercomputer designed to find the Ultimate Question to Life, the Universe, and Everything. (The Ultimate Answer, of course, is 42.) Unfortunately, a few million years after the program began to run, it was corrupted by a crashing starship from Golgafrincham, into which the Golgafrinchans had stuffed all their surplus population - hair stylists, documentary-film producers, executives, telephone sanitizers, and the like. The survivors of the crash quickly replaced the nascent prehumans in the program, with the sad result that all humans on Earth are descendants of the useless Golgafrinchans. (Also sadly, the Golgafrinchans back on the homeworld were later all wiped out by a virulent disease contracted from a dirty telephone.)

It's probably just as well that the Ultimate Question was not discovered. Some believe that if the Ultimate Question and the Ultimate Answer were both known at the same time, the entire universe would disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

Others hold that this has already happened.

Has anyone else read the Space Trilogy of C.S. Lewis? Out Of The Silent Planet? Perelandra?
That Hideous Strength? Am I the only one here who has read and enjoyed them?

The info about the mice (and the relative intelligence of Earth's creatures) comes from Adams' first novel, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, as do the Ultimate Answer, the search for the Ultimate Question (since before programming the supercomputer Deep Thought to find the Answer, none of the mice had ever thought to find out the Question), and the theories about what might happen if the Question and Answer were both known. The bit about the Golgafrinchans, and their relation to the search for the Question, comes from the end of the second Hitchhiker novel, The Restaurant At the End of the Universe.

I've read the Space Trilogy, and I enjoyed it... so I knew what you were talking about when you mentioned the Seroni (other "Hnau" included the Hrossa and the Pfifltriggi.) My favorite bits are the undead demon-possessed Weston ("Ransom... Ransom... Ransom...") in Perelandra and Mr. Wither (bureaucrat from Hell) in That Hideous Strength.

I read the Space Trilogy back when I was a kid.

Good stuff, but I'm really fuzzy with the plot points now.




I'd say that The Vorlons are my favorite alien race.

yeah I like them my team is usualy these two:

I dont realy like those frog looking things or those mole people though, but there back information is good. I think all of the aliens are a realy interesting backs of different characteristics.
