My avatar is a picture of me when I was a child. It was taken during the summer that I rode my first full sized roller coaster, the Racer at Kings Island---which led to one of my special intense interests---roller coasters. It was also taken just after I went to Serpent Mound for the first time---which later led to my researching ancient Indian earthwork sites.

The picture of me was taken as I was enjoying the freedom of a wonderful summer day at home. I had just finished eating lunch that Mom had prepared. I ate it on the back porch step while my beloved dog, Cindy, sat beside me. The backyard of that house where I grew up was magical to me. Dad had the entire backyard fenced in for the safety of our dog. It was paradise. Dad built me a 12 foot tall wooden tower-like platform where I could sit and daydream. That yard became an amusement park of my imagination---my inner dreamworld.

On the patio in front of the porch steps was where I loved to set up a card table which I covered in a blanket. I would go underneath and savor the warm glow of the sunlight filtering in. My dog would often visit me there. Beyond the patio was the yard which I often imagined as the ocean, with the patio and the adjoining sidewalk as the sandy beach, whose warm concrete felt hot on my bare feet. Stepping onto the grass felt cool on my feet, just like the cool ocean water.

Those were the days of freedom. Those were the days of innocence. Those were the days of my childhood---and that picture of me was taken on one of those magical days after I had just come inside to rest in the living room. I remember it well.

It's a picture of one of my new Bearded Dragons crawling on my arm. No special meaning other than "I f*****g love beardies!"

My older brother actually has one of those, named Rango. One time, we actually took him with us on vacation, so it was a real hassle just to get his cage all the way from here to South Padre.

But, anyway... My avatar is from the MLP episode Keep Calm and Flutter On. I chose this one specifically because it actually reminded of a certain friendship I had with this girl in elementary school.

I can also relate to both Discord and Fluttershy in so many ways, plus I just love the pairing Fluttercord in general.

I thought the gif was funny and I like the show. No other real reason.

Not much other than the fact that Goats are some of my favourite animals and I find the scene quite quirky. It also marks that I'm a manchild that refuses to stop loving Disney. Djali! <3

Not much else, aside from being a major Scourtney shipper, and that I can actually see a bit of myself in both of the characters.

Fluttershy and Merida, two of my favorite animated heroines. They couldn't be more different, and yet I love them equally.

Together, they are also one of my many favorite crossover ships.

I took a picture of an image on one of my shirts, then edited loads of times to get different results. This is just one of them.

I haven't been bothered to find a new avatar, and this one is good enough to keep for a while.

There's a difference and a similarity between you and me : I'm a child that refuses to be a man who could stop loving Disney. LOL

@ IdahoRose : You change avatars quite often!

Oh yes they could! And how! To me they actually look quite similar. More similar, let's say, than if you changed one of them into a photo of Queen Elizabeth, or of Paris Hilton, or of a redneck!

I don't think I will ever change mine : my pseudo "Fetika" means "star" in reko paomutu, a Polynesian language. More precisely, since there are many words for "star" in most Polynesian languages, "fetika" means a star high in the sky, as opposed to one low near the horizon. And I feel I see the world from far away, like a fetika. Furthermore, I have a tendency to see what most people don't see (and "officially" don't want to be seen) and not to see what most people look at. Like a fetika looking at the "night", secret, inner side of people and things. And I want to stay that way.

What can I say? So many favorite characters, so little time to use avatars of them all. :)

I purposely used pictures of Merida and Fluttershy that looked similar because I wanted my avatar to be aesthetically pleasing. My comment was directed at their personalities - Merida is as fiery and untamed as her hair, and Fluttershy is, well, shy.

Now it's Ghetsis from Pokemon Black/White and Manfred Von Karma from the Ace Attorney series.

Both widely hated by their respective fandoms for being enormous jerks, beloved by me because I like baddies and older men.

And yes, I ship them with each other. And, I can totally picture them having/raising Franziska and N together. I like to picture Manfred as the mom for some reason. ("Get me pickles and ice cream NOW!" *tazes Ghetsis*)
