And, well. Just talking for myself here, although I'm sure some people can understand... even the life outside of work that could be good sucks.
So it's pointlessly working hard, to support a life that sucks.

Someone once told me "If you love her, you would give her the world."

I replied "No. I'd just give her the good countries."

To gain security so you can live peacefully and then have the ability to pursue what's actually important in life, love and comradry. I don't give hugs often, but you and Earthling are both getting one right now. Feel honored. You have to admit it isn't all bad, there's some good scenery and music out there for starters :) .

Breathing is a nuisance.

But as sole inhabitant of Titan I can engineer an exterminating device without any committees getting involved, or people shouting "blargh, blah, blah, blah, MORALS! Blah blah."

That is EXACTLY what I used to say.

We go to work to earn the money to pay for us to go to work - to earn the money to pay for us to go to work (repeater).

I got through my depression and although I haven't really done that much else with my life since getting out of that state, the secret is to throw a bit of enjoyment into your life.

Go on a holiday. Go on a road trip. Do something you haven't done in a long time - something you live.

Put some zest back into your life.

Change what's making you upset. Install something (into your life) that makes you happy. Do something different!

And get a job you love - or rediscover the love you once had for the job you've got. At least, get to a point where you don't care if you're there or not!
