Re: Previous post. I prefer to be alone, precisely because of the ways humans can do terrible things. I have a bunch of goldfish, and while they're not particularly smart, I love having them as company.

And greetings to you too. You can actually say "Hello" in English and we understand, we use it all the time because it's heard on English movies and such. ជំរាបសួរ is way too formal ;)

I speak read and write, just a little poor at official documents and advanced terminology. I've lived more of my life in Cambodia than California.

California, you're lucky. I've always wanted to go to The States.

I also prefer to be alone, except I don't have fish. I've got a vicious little boy called Boo. He's the sweetest little tabby and he loves me so. He's smart - we can communicate without using words.

It's just me and Boo. I've had him since he was 3 months old. He was with a family that mistreated him but he's no shrinking violet. I suspect, he gave as good as he got.

I think that's why they ripped his back claws out (at the roots - they'll never grow back - the pain the poor little baby must have felt) and eventually got rid of him.

I got him and he used to spring out from everywhere when I first got him and attack me.

Now, I can even give him raspberries on his tummy and hold his paws, tickle his tummy and hold his tail and he knows he can trust me.

Nice ending to a little one who was so mistreated before he was even 3 months old.

He's pretty much the only sentient being I have in my life.

People will tell me what I want to hear/read, but there comes a time when I have to face the truth.

I'm glad he found you. I have had many pets over the years (all abandoned, like my fish where), some like that. People don't believe me when I talk about communicating with them, but I can, even my fish. I'm the only one they let feed them, everyone else that tries to give them food, they all swim away and hide.

I had a pet rat that I could talk to as well. I raised her from birth as a pinkie. Not full on conversation obviously, but she knew her name, and knew a few basic phrases like "come here", "jump", "go back to you cage", "mealtime", etc. It took a year or so to train her that way, and then she died. I miss her often.

I also had a lizard (massive iguana) that liked to watch videos with me. He's the only one that would allow me to feed him also, anyone else he bit or whipped with their tail.

People talk about animals being dumb, but I think animals are much more loving and forgiving than people. It's half the reason I don't like California. Too much "me me me" attitude, I want to be alone.

It's a shame that The Monkees aren't on Me TV.

Animals are smart.

Human arrogance leads people to believe we're smarter than them (but animals get to sit around the house all day, eat, poop, sleep while we go to work to support them - Who's the smarter?) Because they can't talk! But if you know animals, they can actually talk. Just not with words. But they can certainly make their intentions known.

I think interspecial relationships are a very special thing. To have an animal love and trust you is very special.

I'm keeping my Mod hair. I want to look as much like Mick Avory as my body will let me.

It's bloody hot

It's bloody 19:23hrs here now and it's still bloody 31°C here.

This is bloody ridiculous. Why the hell would anyone want to live in such a place?

Help me. I'm melting. I'm melting!

I'm watching Steins;Gate at the moment and it is amazing so far. :D

And also, it's really hot right now. Plus, there's a lot I'm stressing out about at the moment (including online enrollments for Uni/College subjects that have been confusing me lately) but there's not much I can do at the moment besides sit and wait...
