Angela - As I've always said, if you've lost both arms, people will always say, "But there are people who are worse off than you. There are people who have lost both their arms and their legs". Does that make living without arms any easier or better?

Just because there are people who are worse off than you doesn't make your pain any less, better or easy to live with.

SSD are less likely to break but have limited writes, an SSD would last much longer if you just wrote data on it and sat it aside. The most reliable way to backup is optical media which sucks cause DVD only hold around 4 GB of data. I am waiting for blu-ray disc to drop in price because I have about 4 TB of data so its unrealistic to backup all that on DVDs.

My solution right now is to have a server with 3 TBs on it, a backup with the same 3 TBs on it. My main 2 Desktop have the other 1 TB of the most recent files used split and than I have an external 1TB with a backup of those files on it. Backups take place every 30 days, granted I still might lose files that way, I am not so concerned about losing 30 days worth of work and the changes would be minor since I don't pirate files anymore. Worse case I lose some documents and have to redownload a steam game here or there.
