Too soon. The incubation period for adults is usually 2 to 3 weeks. In adults, the spots aren't usually the first symptom to show up anyway. In kids it is.

I can't say for certain without seeing the spots but it doesn't sound like you've got chicken pox to me. Can you take a picture of the spots and post it?

Do you have a sore throat? Have you got a temp? What is your temperature?

Cats don't know what their tails do.

Boo was just sitting and watching his tail flail around and pounced on it.

I don't think they realise how or why they're moving and I don't think they realise it's part of them.

If he was moving it intentionally, then why would he pounce on it? If he knew it was part of him, then why would he attack it?

It would be akin to you waggling your fingers in front of your face and then biting them for moving.

^ He might actually know what he's up to, has he ever bit into his own tail. I do this to Echo all the time and he hasn't hurt himself yet, so I take it he knows he's just playing.

The little bugger might as well be my echo, he follows me wherever I go while at my fathers house. If I don't click my door shut he'll push his way in and then start meowing at me till I let him on my lap. Otherwise he'll camp outside my room and occasionally bat at the door.
