I dreamt that I was outside of a white building that was a version of the hospital I used to work in, my folks were asleep in one of the side rooms, I had just given myself a butchered haircut and I was trying to use fouled up scissors and a cracked mirror to see if I could straighten out the butchery a bit, then the wind started blowing my hair all over the place so I went inside only to find that my mirror and scissors disappeared, then I looked at the clock and it was 8AM and I was late for work as I saw people coming into work. then I awoke.
A spiritual dream I had in the morning - I was a teenage girl in it and I was going to make a choice - to start attending a boarding school or to go to the woods to live with some elderly Indian shaman who was going to teach me the spiritual truths about how to live in harmony with nature and so on - the Higher Power told me to choose the latter option so I chose the shaman and his woods ![]()
I dreamed that I was home, in my living room. My oldest son was sitting on the couch reading. The television was on. There was an old black and white movie playing. I looked out the open front door. My younger son was sitting on the front porch, also reading. I noticed a blue bike sitting at the curb for garbage pickup. I thought "What the." I asked my son on the porch, and he didn't know how it got there. The bike is the first bike I owned. My wife gave to me early in our marriage so we both had Schwinn bicycles. Her red. Mine blue. It is decrepit and I have in the back yard as a sort of lawn ornament. I asked my oldest son about it. He didn't know either. I went out, and carried it to the back yard were I noticed that the corner bushes/trees had been removed. All the weeds had been cleared out. Then I noticed the branch pile in the other corner had been cleaned out too. It was a rectangular patch of dirt, void of branches and weeds. I figured one of my new neighbors did it or hired someone to do it, and I would be receiving a bill for the work. For a second, I was upset, but then I thought it did look nice. They probably moved the bike because it looked like garbage. So I started to carry the bike to where I kept it as an ornament, but my bike was still there. Perplexed, I looked at the bike I was holding and it had a rear wheel. I realized someone had parked their bike and removed the front wheel so it would not be stolen. I turned around and carried it back, and I could hear a kid saying "Where's my bike." I could see him crossing the street, carrying his wheel. I called to him I had it, and explained to him what happen. I went back in the house, to my clean and spacious living room and it was a dream. My living room is never this spacious and decluttered. Then I thought made someone really had cleaned the corners of my yard? I woke up and realized the chances were slim.
The living room was not the only clue this was a dream. My older son never sat on the couch, which is his couch from when he lived with me, and read a book. My DVD bookcases were missing. My mom was in the kitchen, and she has been dead since 1995. My youngest son, there are so many things wrong with that. He reads books, but he does not read books outside in the fresh air, let alone on my front porch that I do not have.
Those two bare corners were inspirational though. They were cleared without any sentiment for the existing bushes/trees or other plants. Also, the bushes lining the fence in the front were gone. That was appealing.
Don't visualize a nice front and back yard. I'm lucky that I have them, but I am dreadful with yard work. I would say Dreadful could Equal Lazy, but I'm always doing something else. Still, perhaps it is a goal for the summer?

After I ate lunch today, I took a nap in my office chair. In the nap, I dreamed that I was struggling to walk up a huge stone staircase going up the side of a mountain. This was largely because of my DVT (blood clots) in four veins of my leg.
So as I'm struggling to climb the staircase, I start to feel that my chair I'm sitting in was swaying back and forth a little and this woke me up.

A dream of a stolen engine, or car for that matter, often symbolizes a loss of control, motivation, or direction in life. It can reflect feelings of vulnerability, insecurity, or a fear of losing one's independence or ability to move forward. The specific interpretation can be influenced by the dreamer's emotions and details in the dream.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Loss of Control/Direction:
The motor vehicle in a dream often represents the dreamer's life path, progress, or motivation. A stolen engine can signify a feeling of being directionless or losing control over one's life or goals.
Vulnerability/Insecurity:
The act of theft can create feelings of vulnerability, anxiety, and a sense of being exposed to external threats. The dream might be highlighting insecurities related to personal safety, financial stability, or other areas of life.
Need for Reflection:
The dream could be a call to examine one's choices, motivations, and the direction of their life. It may be an opportunity to identify what aspects of life feel out of control and to take steps to regain a sense of agency.
Further Considerations:
Emotions in the Dream:
The feelings experienced in the dream (fear, panic, helplessness, etc.) are crucial for understanding its specific meaning.
If a person dreams of their engine being stolen and feels a sense of panic and helplessness, it could indicate a feeling of losing control over their career path or a fear of not being able to achieve their goals. If they are going through a stressful period in their relationships, it could also suggest a feeling of being manipulated or controlled by others.
I had a dream (last night) where I went into the basement. It had been heavily raining for three days and was expected to rain for three more. In the past the basement has flooded (once in my house, twice in the place I lived in before). There was some small puddling, but nothing that could be considered flooding. Streams were flowing from the edge of the wall across the floor to the drain, the drain I did not know I had.
I was getting ready to go back upstairs and I heard a voice talking. The meaning was totally garbled. I looked around, in the area under the stairs. Nothing.
I looked in the small bedroom on the right, at the end of the basement. Nothing.
I looked in the small bedroom on the left, next to the other small bed room. Nothing, but I could hear the sound of sweeping and the sound of large chunks of sand on the cement floor. I still did not see anything. But I continued to hear this sound.
I left the room, and the got down, placing my head next to the floor, I could see the dirt/sand moving in one direction. I looked around the corner, and I could see the broom moving, sweeping. I looked up the handle, and it was moving as well, but no one was holding it.
I backed out of the room and was thinking about this interesting development. A Ghost?
For reasons unknown (not remembered), I walked into the room on the right. It was empty, but then I saw an hand, then an arm, then a shoulder, etc. It was gray with a tinge of blue. Then there was a whole person who seem to ignore me as he left the room. I reached out and held his arm, because I kept telling him he had to leave. The owner of the house would be back any moment (more on this later). He didn't seem to understand, and his color was gradually changing to something that looked more natural. Still holding his arm, I moved and he did a flip to the ground. I checked that he was okay, but kept emphasizing he needed to leave, and why. He seemed to gradually understand, and walked back into the bedroom. Then I woke up(ish).
This dream initially seemed to take place in the basement of my house. This is the house I bought in the early 2000s when my friend/landlord told me he was selling the house he was living in, and that I rented (the basement apartment). So the dream hand more in common with that basement than mine. Two small bedrooms at one end. There was an enclosed area under the stairs, as well. Plus, the basement floor twice while I lived their. For some reason, my landlord friend blamed me for that, even though it was the sump pump that had stopped working. Here is what it was like. I wake up, I'd notice the carpet was wet. I stepped from my bedroom, and there was a wave of carpet that travelled the length of the room. This paragraph was not a dream. It just seemed like one.
The dream almost makes some sense. Like it is on the tip of my tongue.
Potential disaster in the basement.
A human sound with no visible source.
Cleaning/sweeping by an unseen source.
The unseen source gradually appears. I didn't say it, but he seemed to have some purpose in mind. He just was not saying what it was.
Throughout the whole thing, I was concerned that the landlord/friend would get home and I'd get in trouble.
You know he gave me two weeks notice to find a new place because he had already sold the house. That's how I ended up buying a house. I was told it made financial sense.

People were staying at my house.
Two were old college friends from 45 years ago.
One of these was in a bed in the corner of my bedroom.
My bed was in an adjoining corner.
She asked me what was in my dresser?
She said the others were all speculating what was in my dresser.
Some thought I had an small magical animal hidden away.
That would have been cool, I assured her I didn't and told her she was free to open the drawers and see for herself.
I had nothing to hide.
I expected her to start rummaging through my drawers.
She did not.
All she did was ask what I had in my dresser drawers.
I kept telling her "Just look for yourself."
Then she started walking around the room, still asking about what I was hiding in my dresser drawers.
I began to wonder if I had something hidden in my dresser.
Then I realized I had to get to class.
I got up and got dress and left for class.
Then she got angry and wanted to know when I was going to return her walker.
She did not loaned me her walker.
I told her she could use my walker in the hallway.
(In real life, it was the walker I got when I had my knee replacement.)
I made it to class in time and the teacher was looking at me funny, surprised to see me.
Another friend, who I didn't and don't know, was trying to help, unpacked my things.
None of the students in this class looked familiar.
Then I realized I was suppose to be at another location for another class for a tour of another building.
I was an hour early for the class and room I was currently in.
My friend, who I didn't and don't know, then started helping me pack things up. I was missing a tour.
Then the dream sort of drifted off as I started thinking about what it could imply.

I had a dream that my mum took me shopping and she told me to pick out an activity kit. I chose one that contained a a German plane and soldier that I could build. My mum flipped out because there was a German flag on the box. We had company over. Two of my dad's friends and the wife that one of them was married to. I was getting myself as drunk as a lord on beer and as high as a kite with pot and energy drinks. I was acting up because I was drunk and high. The Olympics were on, so I was saying things like, "Why cheer for Germany when Canada's not competing when I can cheer for the UK." One of my dad's friends was from Germany so that didn't fly well with anyone. I was spending my time playing with a mentally challenged 7 year girl who looked like Ringo because I thought my family didn't want me around. My mum broke down and told me that she bought me something. It was the activity kit that I wanted to buy with the plane and the soldier. I told her I decided not to look for a job because of my legs. My mum told me that it was because I'm too much into Germany to be a part of the work force.

It is amazing how far we can suspend our disbelief when dreaming.
In a completely unimportant dream, I dreamed that I had moved temporarily to some foreign country for work and was required to set up an e-mail account in that country. And the e-mail address had to be approved by the government of that country.
In that dream i had the previous night, I ate the ice cream whose brand was called... Skynet ![]()
