He's a black classic tabby and white. Kitty! My only companion in life and a bloody good one. We know each other SO WELL

Once, when I was almost 10; the other time when I was 29.
Both times, I had to shave my head!
I tried to cut my own bangs when I was around 3 or 4 (I really hated haircuts!). It didn't go so well
. My mom was not happy.

It was 2:41AM here - It's DARK - I leave the lounge room venetian blinds up. The front door was shut - The windows were colosed. Nothing was open. No noise could have gotten in. The lounge room windows face the street. A big, clear view of the front street.
All the lights were off.
Boo and I were asleep on the lounge room floor - in the dark. From there, you can't see out into the street.
Next thing, he springs up and stands on the back of the lounge, staring out the window. His tail was thrashing about something fierce.
I look out the window to see what he was looking at and there was a cat across the road sitting near the bumper bar of a car that was parked opposite. He couldn't have seen it from the floor where we were sleeping but SOMEHOW he knew it was there. HOW DID HE KNOW? The only explanation I can come up with is, he heard it but cats don't even make noise when they walk on the ground - So HOW'D HE KNOW? = SPOOKY!!
By the way his tail was thrashing around, it was clearly upsetting him, so I went outside and tried to call the pussycat but it spotted me and took off like lightning.
When I got back inside and put my head down near Boo, he grabbed me around the head with his paws and gave me kisses all over my forehead.
He appreciated what he perceived was me scaring off the kitty. I wasn't actually trying to scare the kitty off but that was how Boo perceived it and he appreciated it.
Before he was desexed, external kitties used to drive him really crazy.
Cats have highly attuned senses. Perhaps that cat comes by around the same time each night? Or it was a sound you couldn't hear.
I suspect sound. He doesn't own a watch
- The way he went from sleep to springing up at the window, he sensed something. I believe they can hear things a couple of blocks away - but having said that, cats walking around outside don't make noise. I can't even hear Boo when he's walking around the house, let alone through a closed up room to across the other side of the street.
