How about a big celebration to the arrival of the 30'000th member?

What about informing all active wp members to give a huge welcome?

I have a day off today and I made all these plans to get things done but actually I think I'm going to do only the necessary and spend some completely alone time. Am I a bum or what?

Yay for broadband (I actually downloaded it a couple of weeks ago, but I just watched it then). The new "bad" serial killer/homicidal psychopath on the side is pretty cool... (the shower scene as he's screaming and then just leaving the hot water on is...interesting imagery; I don't know if he's trying to punish himself for what he is or he's doing it to feel).

O, and I am now officially sane and mentally/emotionally rational and not a threat to others or myself, as per my psychiatrist today. Eat that...someone who has said I'm not sane.

Piano is cool.
One of my students is playing music from Kingdom Hearts at the moment.

I'm rather proud about my starting XI for today's UCL fantasy matchday 1. But I'm sure this will turn to regret by tomorrow night. :( I always think I make up really good teams and then they end up being pretty useless. I took a gamble of picking Leo Messi and Wayne Ronney but at the expense of a good substitute. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

I had some people who lived down the street from me who kept a peacock as a pet.

I think I know what that means. When someone gives you a gift don't judge it's quality and just be appreciative that you got a gift.
A lot of these things make better sense in the time they were coined. People look in a horses mouth to determine it's age or something.

The history of phrases is kind of a mini special interest of mine. Here's my favorite-Have you heard the expression walking gingerly? Well, apparently for parades and such they would shove a piece of ginger root up a horses ass so it would make prancing steps with it's tail held high.
