I think sometimes I would like to be able to forget about the people in my life who have died.
Sounds awful, I know.
We tend to prolong the grieving process.
Some cultures wail and beat themselves and let their grief out that way.
The worst thing is to keep your grief inside.

Yeah, I think it has the potential to be healthy, if the person truly gets the grieving out of their system within the amount of time allotted. But it could also pose some issues for some people who tend to prolong the grieving process. I also think it can be healthy to look back on fond memories of the deceased occasionally.

I lost my shade sail in the storm last night.
It's torn into ribbons.
There's trees down around the place.
And I've been hearing sirens all morning.
We got 4 inches of rain.

There was shiploads of lightning!
And some wicked thunder.
Couldn't sleep.
I kept getting rained on but it was too stinking hot to close the window.

As for the restaurant thing, I think people sometimes want to live vicariously through other people.

Ugh that sucks! I would have thought it would be similar to Florida down there, in that a/c is practically mandatory because the heat and humidity are so bad.
