I had two pet huntsmen.
One was called fluffy and the other was called buttons.
Funnel webs aren't really that aggressive unless provoked.
What you don't want as a pet is a banana spider.

Work was exhausting :pale:

I'm sorry to hear that. Time to relax.

No, that's what I like about spiders. They usually leave you alone, unless they "feel" they're under attack - and sometimes, we don't realise we're posing a threat to them - until it's too late. I've got an outside dunny by the way.

I read a Reader's Digest story once about this guy who put his shoes on in the morning, drove all the way to work, was half way through a meeting when this funnel web bit him on the toe.

Fluffy, I can understand. Buttons?

What's a banana spider?

I believe you have bird eating spiders there. My Mum stayed up at Cowan QLD once and said this thing was as big as your fist.

My friend had some pet black widows, they might still be around but I doubt it. I'm partial to cat's face & golden orb weavers.

Someday I shall train them to make me my fortune, it's just difficult to build a circus caravan for arachnidae...

Aurora - if you're around - look away

Sydney Funnel Web - The bite from these things will not only make you bleed. They'll kill you in a very short time

Brown snakes are really aggressive.
I've seen them rear up and try to strike at the tractor.
They will chase you if you get too close.
