My wireless LAN keeps going down. I may have to change channels.

It's a continuous story line, so you have to start from the beginning in order to understand it. And soon you'll understand this reference:

I might have some more chicken nuggets with whole egg mayo.

I wonder how'd they go with caesar salad dressing or dijonnaise sauce??

Any suggestions?

I've also got Tartare sauce, tomato sauce and ketchup.

Any suggestions?

You could try a lightweight version of Linux, try this on it.

What are its specs, I might be willing to buy it off of you, you do paypal?

Puppy Linux - I'd go with FreeBSD. I'd normally go with Sun Microsystems Solaris but Oracle killed it!  :skull: :skull:

I installed Sun Solaris once and I got a terminal running on some type of x windows and I had no idea what to do, I am assuming you can install Desktop environments like Arch Linux but I was like 14 when I installed it. I typed in a few commands and went back to Windows 2000 I think, I was just goofing around cause I nuked the entire site fom orbit in the words of Feyokien. I rarely try and fix operating systems when they start to screw up and just nuke and reinstall them, its the best way to go.

I'm happiest in a UNIX command shell, BASH being my favourite but I can use CSH etc.

CLI offers the most power.

But if you can learn how to 'pipe' | commands together so the output of one command feeds into another, then you're really laughing.

I agree but I still need some kinda of GUI for day to day use, have you heard of Arch Linux? You might want to try it, its not something your going to install over night but its my favourite operating system. Check the wiki and see if interest you, everything is done through command line and you can install graphical desktops on top of the command line only install that it provides.

Read about it here

Its what I am on using KDE.

The only Linux distros I've ever realy gotten into were slackware when it first came out and redhat.

I prefer the real UNIX OSes. That's why I used to eat, sleep, breath and sh!t SunOS/Solaris.

After it died (and way before, actually), I was heavily into OpenBSD but I had a kind of falling out with Theo De Raadt ( The Rat - as many have over the years) over some security code I had written and switched to FreeBSD and took my code with me.

Its what I am on using KDE.

As far as GUI is concerned - I was always into CDE - after that, Gnome or the standard Solaris GUI - which was basically Gnome anyway.

You are having edit fail ImAnAspie, that last sentence is suppose to be in the quotes lol

Anyway I woke up in the middle of the night and I need to go back to sleep as I meet someone in the morning but I have some time to kill before that so pick a topic and I go along with it before bed.

Are you into TCP/IP? If you are, check out 2 pieces of software. Wireshark (formerly know as Ethereal) and tcpdump

tcpdump R O C K S - if you know how to use it. Well worth the learning curb!
