One time, when I was 19, I really couldn't get up to go to work--until "You Really Got Me" played on the radio.

You weren't a strange kid. Many people liked Elizabeth Montgomery; they thought she was sexy. She was very elegant, and a good hostess when guests came over.

When you watched that show, you know how important alcohol was! When Darren came home, he always had his wife make him a martini.

Bewitched was pretty good. I got some of the humor; some of it, though, was a little above my head.

Yep...Lost in Space----"Danger! Will Robinson!" That robot was funny.

It was a somewhat serious show when it was in black and white; then it became more psychedelic-like when it went into color.

I really like Star Trek, though.

Spock is my hero.

I quite often use, what I call Spockisms in real life. Quotes that he said in the show.

At the risk of embarrassing myself yet again (and I've posted this before), after watching Star Trek on a Sunday afternoon, I used to walk around the house with little tight elastic bands around the tops of my ears, trying to make them pointy, until it hurt.

After the invention of super glue, I considered gluing them into a point, but by then I was old enough to think better of it.

Remember City On The Edge Of Forever with Joan Collins?

Remember Kirk's explanation of Spock's ears to the cop?

Capt. Kirk: [on the spot to explain Spock's alien features] My friend... is obviously Chinese. I see you've noticed the ears. They're... actually easy to explain...

Spock: Perhaps the unfortunate accident I had as a child...

Capt. Kirk: ...the unfortunate accident he had as a child. He caught his head in a mechanical... rice picker... but, fortunately, there was an American missionary living close by who was actually a, uh, skilled, uh, plastic surgeon in civilian life...

Mine too.

So is, "And The Children Shall Lead".

Spock: "Humans do have an amazing capacity for believing what they choose and excluding that which is painful."

I quoted that one in an outpatient's session and the psychologist asked me to repeat it because she liked it so much.
I never told her, I stole it from Spock.

:D :D :D

Spock: "I am endeavoring, ma'am, to construct a mnemonic memory circuit using stone knives and bearskins"

I use a variation of this one at work when referring to our hopeless computers.

I'm going to be checking out the bike shops looking for stabilizers.

Here's another one I use (modified) to explain to people who know I don't sleep much. (3-4 hours a night) It's now 2:51AM and I've got to be up at 6AM. I think I truly am an Alien! I'm different.

Spock: "On my planet, to rest is to rest — to cease using energy. To me, it is quite illogical to run up and down on green grass, using energy, instead of saving it."

Shore Leave is also one of my favorites. "You never could find your head with both hands" - I use that to cheerily insult people.

"The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play." - I don't quote that one - I just believe it of myself.

Ah, The Trouble With Tribbles - what a cute episode that was.

One of my favorite memes:

^Ah yes, I've seen that meme. :) Oh, and I also like the The Naked Time, especially when Sulu starts running around like a swordsman. 8)

He did that a couple of times. Once with a Katana.

Bloody work again.

Time is a cruel thing!

I think we should go to work Saturdays and Sundays and have the week off.

Boo got into my bin again and dragged out the bag of Tandaco chicken coating that was left over and saw fit to distribute it all over the dining room.

I'm going to have to remember to close the lid on the bin in future.

The little bugger.
