Is her cooking that bad or are you talking about doing away with the old hag? I swear, my mother-in-law was from hell. Her name was even 'Helen', but I think she secretively spelled it 'Hellen'.

Pity her last name wasn't 'Back'. That'd make her 'Hellen Back'.

Oh it's not her cooking (though she's not a very good cook either), she's very passive aggressive, lies to create drama, and manipulative.

If you watch The Little Rascals, it's guaranteed that you will become less depressed.

They were also known as Our Gang Comedies.

Recently watched, H.G.Well's "Food Of The Gods" which was very good despite it being from the late 70's as, it was an interesting film..

Yep. I think I saw it a long time ago but it didn't make much of an impression on me but when I looked it up, I remembered the names Alfalfa and Spanky.

We've pretty much got everything you've got there. In recent years, I've thought of Australia as a little America. Our kids are even calling footpaths side-walks and lounges couches. We're slowly losing our identity.

The movie you know as Airplane (the comedy - Leslie Nielsen) we know as Flying High - but apart from that, everything else is pretty much the same.

Sounds like my ex-mother-in-law. She was a seething, bitter old bag. And she drove the knife in to split me and Kathy up.

Wow, what an awful woman!
Yeah, back when things were going well, she told me she thought he needed to be with some other girls before settling down with me.
Now that I know I want out, I don't think I can keep up the pleasantries with her.

Has anyone seen a movie called Brave New World? It was a book by Aldous Huxley. Good book too. The movie was released in 1980. They had it in the Library at the TAFE I used to go to. I requested it so many times, it started to become rather embarrassing.

At first, I just told the Library staff, I never finished watching it but after several months, that excuse started to wear a little thin and I just gave up on giving excuses. I'd walk up to the desk and wouldn't even need to say anything. They'd just get it for me.

We had our mother-in-law living with us. Kathy and I gave up our beautiful bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in wardrobe for her.

She was always pleasant on the surface but she was very cynical, sarcastic and very bitter. She'd always make these insinuations that could be taken a number of ways.

One day, she did something very offensive to me (my Mother witnessed it as well) and I just switched to guns and gave her a piece of my mind. It was always there but just under the surface. I knew one day, it'd be WWIII between us. And then it happened.

And the rest is history. :(
