WOW -That's cold. In winter, you could save on electricity costs by turning your freezer off and storing all of your frozen food in a large esky outside.

I wasn't joking. Does anyone do that?

It wasn't too long ago that I played the tough, little Mod with the stiff upper lip, ready to face anything with a cheeky sense of humour. I was being cheeky in order to be funny. I was afraid to be myself up until the first week of January, because I was afraid that I'd scare people away if I'd show my true colours.

If it stays below freezing throughout the day, this could work.

If you live in a place with permafrost--like much of northern Alaska, you could just dig a hole in the ground, making sure you dig into the ice--then place the stuff there. You'd probably be able to do this year-round in these areas, even when the temperature reaches the 20's-30's Celsius in the summer (which they do in inland northern Alaska).

+3 cold? Bwa-ha-ha-ha, that's nothing. This weekend it was less than -20.

Most places in Canada, especially outside the urban areas, could go down to Minus 40 easily. Even places near Montreal, like Maniwiki. Montreal itself rarely goes down below Minus 30.

I think it's -10 in the school where I am, since I'm right next to a door.

^It's periodically cold in certain parts of the school, yet in my former history teacher's room, it's warm.

Probably because that particular room is closer to the main heat supply.
