I knew 2 people. A senior guy neighbor who's been doing it almost everyday, from like, 5AM to 12 noon. I don't know how many clothes his household has, but I'm rather glad that I don't see their wet clothes dominating the entire apartment compound.
And a middle aged lady. She's a laundrywoman longer than I've been alive, and her arms are huge as if there's muscles in it.

She prefers doing manual over automatic.

The former doesn't mind his chores. The latter just stayed as a laundrywoman because she likes it.
