And what happened? Unless it's too tragic to post. I'm very sorry if it was.

(anything that is spoken in Latin sounds elevated.)

Well, it was but I'm okay now. My son's father and I were engaged and then I got pregnant. I think he wanted to just run away but decided to handle it by sabotaging the relationship. His mother had sent a newspaper article about Hepatitis C infections through blood transfusions at a hospital where he had received a blood transfusion. He has a steel rod in his leg after he was a passenger in a a serious car accident. That was 15 years earlier and he had been a very heavy drinker. So at 4 months pregnant I thought he was going to die. He said they said 18 months. I was devastated. He went off the deep end and started disappearing for days and then he started lying about the bills being paid. We got eviction notices and utilities were cut off. etc. My pregnancy was very very stressful. Then my son was born and things were okay for a while. The apartment we were living in was scheduled to be renovated so everyone was moving out but we didn't have enough money to get set up somewhere else so it was decided we would each go to our home towns and get it together to reconnect later. He basically became more and more distant although his mother was still encouraging the marriage. Anyway, the terminal illness was a lie. He put me through gut wrenching grief so he could do what he wanted. The story is actually much worse but I've gone on enough. It just goes to show how you can think your life is all in order and then have everything fall apart at once. It's like having the breath knocked out of you. Now when October 18 th rolls around I get a little bemused. They say the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference and that's exactly what I feel for the guy now. Indifference. Meh.

Death precedes life, not the other way around. When you understand and view life from this perspective, you understand...things....

You only see a sequence offset by 1, since nothing can die that has not lived. A biological lifeform must first be biologically alive before it can die. In the situation of the origin of life, whether in terms of evolutionaryish abiogenesis, or in terms of special creation, before such a life or set of lives began, there was no death.

Yesterday I bought two packets of doughnuts, intending on eating them over the week, but I've just noticed they go out of date tomorrow. I guess I'd better eat them all today then.

That's exactly what I would have done.
