I've learned that people will often get confused if you merely say what you are thinking without knowing how you got there... and also, people tend to see "tangents" as such to be an interruption of a conversation if they were not included in the digression from the previous subject of conversation.

i learned that there mightn't be a word in arabic for pub- at least my mother doesnt know what it is.

I learned that naming cyclo alkanes can get long. 1,1,3 Tribromo Cyclopropane. 1,1,2 Triethyl-3 MethylCycloPentane.

or the grand daddy pimp

2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-(methoxymethyl)phenyl]methyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-pro p-1-enyl-cyclopropane-1-carboxylate

That it stinks to wake up at 2am in the morning and not be able to go back to sleep. At least I'll be certain to be ready for my interview, although after which I'll be a zombie.
