The big box of good things (cookies, candies, chips and many other types of food) that my mum sent me from my country last week has arrived today! I'm very happy right now!

monthly dinner at youth group. we ate chinese food from a restaurant. the tofu was lovely. not at all greasy. and i spoke to a guy i have not seen in a long time who goes there. the youth worker there said i could leave leaflets for the next protest against police brutality at mardi gras. i designed the leaflets. they look terrible. i did them in paint. i prayed for photoshop. it did not appear on my computer. the rally on facebook had 400+ going in 3 hours. now over 1600 in the same day. i hope people go to this. the cops brutalised an activist and other people at mardi gras and they need to be held to account.

here in canada we have had a few protests against the police. When we had the g20 protest in toronto it was awful. People were really shocked by what they saw. Even a newscaster was horrified by what he saw. he is a big supporter of the centrist Liberal Party. In Quebec the students are protesting again. I was on the bus in ontario and I saw some people wearing the little red squares in solidarity with our Quebec comrades.

I had a really successful day at work today. Usually I have to create a priority list every morning that goes something like: What thing do I want to do the least? What thing do I want to do second-to-least?
And then I start with the thing I REALLY don't want to do and move down the list until I get to do the stuff I really like. Today I didn't have anything to do that made me cringe! I got to spend a bunch of time organizing data. Which for most people is about as appealing as $h!t-on-a-stick, but for me is kind of my favorite. If I'd had an audiobook about something historical to listen to, it would have been a perfect day.

Also, I took a claritin and I didn't itch ALL DAY!! I don't know what I'm allergic to, but seriously this itchiness HAS to stop.

AND, cherry on top! I stopped by my local liquor store that I usually avoid because there's a really good looking clerk who kind of hits on me when I go in there (I have no idea how to respond, stop freaking me out!), and today when he rang up my box of mid-range wine (DON'T JUDGE ME! IT'S A "GREEN" CHOICE AND THIS WINE IS ACTUALLY PRETTY TASTY! ) He was pretty cool about the whole thing and didn't hassle me at all. YAY! Although, now they have a security guard and I worry that they might have gotten robbed.

My internet is back up to speed! I thought the next billing month didn't start until next Thursday, but I checked my usage page and it started a couple of days ago.
