The books and the movie are quite differnt. The movie only really covers part of the first book and a bit of the inbetween story of the first and second book. Awesome sci-fi saga though one of the best out there along with Issac Asimov's foundation series

I am horrible with keeping up with all this STUFF! I'm so behind on books, memes, movies, etc!

Yeah, bf keeps bugging me to read book series "because it is waaaay better than the movie". But it's hard to find the entire series in a non-retarded republished crapsense.
