Not yet - New Yorkers get all huffy about big-box businesses, but it's coming to an end now, and more and more are appearing. We just got our first Home Depot a couple of years ago. An IKEA is actually coming to Brooklyn now, and people are having fits because the traffic will make the streets impassable.

I'm lucky because I have a car, and I can go shopping in the 'burbs while visiting my ex-in-laws. :D

(They can't get rid of me  )

That makes sense. It's crowded enough there without big franchises such as Wal-Mart around. I can't imagine what it'll be like then. I can't imagine what it's like now.

It's actually OK normally, because most people don't own cars in the city, and don't need to, with our great public transportation. :D

But those big stores draw more drivers, because they need to pick the big stuff up, so it doesn't really work very well. :?

But it will be interesting to watch!

It will be a thousand years before Dobson sees public transportation. Here, we still use our feet to power our cars. :?

Okay, shopping. That's good. I don't mind shopping actually. In fact, I need some new jeans, these are getting old. :?

Don't go to Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart must pie!

Pie? :?

Well, you must be happy to have that horse-drawn truck! jk

What kind of truck, by the way? A truck would really kick a$$ in the city. I had to get a Saturn SUV, because another SUV drove up onto the hood of my small Saturn, in order to get out of a really tight parking space. I'm not even kidding. :x

Yeah, I have been bitten by dogs twice!
One tore my lip open, and the other ripped the back of my ear, and it had to be sewn back on to its rear moorings again - now THAT was grim! :x

Sleep well :D
