For decades no human had ever seen two humpback whales having sex, and when someone finally did see them they realized the whales they were watching were both male.

I think it's funny how there's so much gayness in nature but until recently scientists have chosen not to see it.

I think I had a rat that was gay. A few weeks after we brought two young rats home, one of them developed an obsession with one of the older rats and kept humping him. I know it's said that rats do this as a sign of dominance, but this was different, because it was only ONE rat out of 5 that he kept doing it to. He wouldn't do it to anyone else ever, just this one. It was actually quite funny to watch.
But the strangest thing is he did grow out of it and suddenly stopped humping him.
So I don't know what all that was about.

My grandparents used to keep hens (they were farmers) - once gran and me as a little girl of about ten, saw a chicken having sex with another chicken and grandma was proud of this young rooster that he was already able to do this in spite of his young age... only that later on it turned out the chicken that was at the bottom was a rooster as well

YouTube will oppress the use of everyday words in people's videos, but has no problem showing these awful scam ads for some kind of supposedly AI interactive stuffed animals with uncreative names like "Pandy" for a panda bear, where it's claimed that the stuffed animals are "better than therapy" and that they're super realistic, but if your order for them they're really a cheap generic stuffed animal that doesn't do anything and costs about $100 or more. Also the vocal fry of the woman's voice in the ads makes me want to tear my eardrums out. I think the videos in the ads are showing people cuddling a small dog and they just deepfaked AI of the stuffed animal over the dog.

I don't which is worse, that people are evil enough to make that kind of trash, or that people are dumb enough to fall for it and waste their money on this worthless loser scam.

Apparently it's common to be allowed to use pencils on schoolwork outside of art, math, & science labs. And red ink is considered too harsh (?) for marking up papers. Oof. wtf.

There's this right-wingnut named Matt Walsh who wrote this awful children's book called Johnny the Walrus. It's about a kid, Johnny, who likes pretending to be different animals. One day he pretends to be a walrus and his mom thinks it's cute so she takes a photo (without Johnny's consent), and posts it on social media. And then the evil horrible humorless left-wingers (you can tell they're liberals because they have unusually colored hair and wear glasses) make negative comments saying he's not pretending, he really *is* a walrus and saying he's really a human pretending is offensive to walruses, Johnny's mom takes the comments seriously and takes him to a doctor who says Johnny will have to start being a real walrus by eating worms, painting his skin grey, and getting surgery to change his limbs into flippers.
Johnny finds eating worms gross and the grey paint makes him itch, but it isn't until they go to the zoo and meet a "wise" zookeeper (who just happens to look like the author, just badly drawn) that the mom decides Johnny doesn't have to be a real walrus anymore.

The book is incredibly transphobic. It's implying that people who are trans are only "pretending" to be a different gender instead of being born the wrong gender. The worms and paint and flipper surgery is basically making transitioning therapy out to be like something out of a horror movie. Also the artwork looks really lazy and awful.

I even saw Matt Walsh in a video reading this book to a bunch of 5-6 year old children. Before he starts to read a little boy came up and asked him what's this thing he found on the floor. And Walsh just rudely tells him not to worry about it, only to worry about sitting back down and listening to his awful book. What a nasty thing to say to a kid who was just being curious!

I can't believe people are brainwashing kids with this kind of trash.
