Living alone and being Aspie can be a very worrying combination.

With no one to keep you in check, you run a huge risk of letting your somewhat less than normal, Aspie thoughts and ideas flourish and you wind up walking around looking like Mr. Spock, dyed black hair, haircut and all.

And then you have one of those lucid moments where you think, "What the hell was I considering doing?" but shortly later, that lucid moment is gone and you're back to, "I wonder what I can wear that's not a Star Trek uniform but looks like one?" and "I wonder if I could give myself Vulcan ears using a dob of superglue where my ears should come to a point at the top?"

I'm not losing it. I promise I'm not

When I look into the depths of my mind I don't want to explore, what I see is a dark, massive, empty space that is filled with nothing. It's a giant, massive *nothing*. Blackness. Really scary.

I wonder if anyone else sees this in their mind when they take a really hard look at themselves, or if their core beliefs are challenged. If there's no meaning to *anything* in their lives. Do they see anything? My mind plays out everything in videos, and that's what I experience when I take a look at those depths.

Life is its own meaning. It's own reward. It's been given to you, free of charge. Enjoy it while you have it because one day, you won't.

Depends on where you die and how much you smell.

Hi auntblabby :)

I really look forward to experiencing what author jurgen ziewe wrote about in his books "multidimensional man" and "vistas of infinity- how to enjoy life when you're dead."
howdy ImAnAspie :) I live in a tin can out in the woods and I seldom have visitors.

A neat thing about WP is all these random/stimming threads, they give me an outlet for my minds more demented thoughts, and I have actually been able to think clearly much more often because of this.

Hey ImAnAspie if you see this or are online, what can I replace konsole with in KDE? I like KDE but it does have a few annoyances and I am getting rid of them, this includes konsole. I am using urxvt for now but I can't copy and paste from the terminal, I assume this has something to do with my .Xresources file which is decent but needs work. Do you know of a better terminal or how to get copy and paste in urxvt, thxs. Also I am heavily considering trying FreeBSD again, can you sandbox stuff in unix? I suppose a chroot would work buts thats a bit different.

I used to love gnome-terminal but it doesn't do transparency any more so now, it sucks.

I went through this a few weeks ago and wrote down my findings. There were some really good ones. urxvt is good. Highly customisable.

I'm up having a coffee at Gloria Jeans Padstow at the moment (it's Sunday morning) but when I get home, I'll post the results of my searchings and findings.

Both my Arch Linux rigs are running great, no warnings or errors anywhere I can see.

Do not fear death, but do not seek it either. Just let it flow through...

Hm, now which color of thread should I buy?
