You could look like a fat grub, all bundled up in your blankets and coats.

I don't need any help looking like that at my age

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply anything.

That's kind of a scary thing to say as a nurse. :O But the way I see it, if I'm braindead, what's the point of keeping the rest of my body alive? I am my brain, and the rest of my body is just a support system for it.

For some strange, unknown reason, my Batman onesie has turned ballistic. The inside seams that run down the sides of my hips have suddenly turned scratchy. Maybe it needs a wash?!

I just caught up on what I missed out on in past posts.

Yes, we have each other. This is where we can go to meet and be with others who share similar/same life experiences, traits and we feel comfortable here. This is my family.

A counsellor suggested that I start up an ASD meeting group in the Bankstown/Padstow area. As far as I know, I still haven't met another Aspie in real life. I walk around all day at work wondering, "Is he an Aspie? Is she an Aspie?"

I'm reading a great book at the moment called 'Asperger's On The Inside' by Michelle Vines. She's also on YouTube.
I can relate to a lot of the stuff she says/writes about.

I'm rambling again. [ImAnAspie slowly slinks away, backwards into the shadows]

I've got my suspicions but I also suspect that even if they are, they don't know it because I've 'come out' so to speak and no one's approached me saying "Guess what?! I'm also on the spectrum!"

People often "know" that I'm weird.

They can't really precisely define "weird," though.

ImAnAspie, your not rambling, rather pointing something out that might/might not be present in autistic persons world. I'll be honest there is a area at one of the local universities set aside for students with learning difficulties, though I'm not a university student and yet I made a sincere attempt at such many years back it wound up falling apart for, at the time I was undiagnosed. I have looked for offline social groups pertaining to autistic adults but, I've found very little. Yes, like yourself, I've had people tell me to start one.
Well, I'm thankful for this site as it helps me to deal with whatever troubles me or knowing that my difficulties in life are not merely isolated to me or that somehow they are unique.

That is the most weirdest thing, I've heard.
