It was actually the sound of someone hammering relentlessly, a nail into a plank of wood.

This is just one of the sounds that one has to put up with on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays as well.

Saying that though, it's not as bad as the leaf blower going off at 7am on a Saturday morning.

At least the leaf blower man gets the option to wear ear defenders.

Does anyone know how hot the water on a washing machine can get? My washing machine's hot cycle has the number 14 on the dial you turn so the water comes out. Does that translate to 140 degrees Fahrenheit? Not sure what the Celsius is.

it should approach the limit of whatever you set your hot water heater. it isn't gonna heat the water by itself, it relies on the hot water tap for that.

I'm thinking about knitting me a sweater. I've had 3 previous atempts years back, neither was a hundered percent successful. It's hard for me to get the size right. If I knit to tight, then a size large in the recipe can be too small, and if I knit too loose, then a size medium can be to big.

I wonder how dangerous a fly blown up to refrigerator size would be to humans?
