I confess that I love nature so much that I often stop in the park to watch the squirrels or to look up at the trees and at the shape of the leaves, and that the moon utterly captivates me when the clouds cross it, making it look like some ethereal painting.

I confess, me too! I do stuff like this all of the time! I think I mumbled something the other day about "animals" being one of my special interests, but it would be more accurate to say that "nature" is one of them; I have a long, rambly blurb about nature on my MySpace page. It's all a wondrous complex system that manages so elegantly to blend order and chaos. Yesterday I sat in my "back yard" (a forest), and contemplated the intricate structure of a giant pink clover flower.

I love nature so much, that I've woven it in to my personal mythology; I have at least two deities related to nature in my personal pantheon; Melikki, and one other I cannot quite perceive, possibly Gaia.

Good fortune,

I am fortunate enough to have a mother who would often take me to woods and forests as a child and point out all the flowers and plants to me, and who encouraged me in my curiosity.
I thrive on being in a natural setting. A walk down to the sea or in the woods, or a vast field full of hay bales can bring me alive right away. I find nature incredible and always wish to know more, but am usually too lazy.

I confess to Almighty Aspie that I played unwitting voyeur at the high school picnic back on Thursday.

I confess that earlier today, some pretty thing posted her picture in one of those "post a pic of you" threads around here. Interestingly it was, and continues for the moment to remain, her only post here on the WP; no words, just a pic... And, thinking of this post, I decided to (basically) tell her how gorgeous I thought she was; I was honest in everything I said, but I said it because I was curious to see whether or not I would feel any emberassment over doing so. I did not; not even a little. But, it was interesting to think about how I might have been horribly emberassed to say something like that half of my lifetime ago, back in highschool. It is funny how the world turns...

Good fortune,

- Icarus is over the hill...

:D And I found it very sweet. Even we old ladies like to be told nice things. You're a blessing to so many!

Now for a confession... hmm...

I confess I used to be obsessed over David Macaulay books when I was in junior high:

Oh memories.

I remember a book... I think by David Macaulay about Castles.

I love city planning sorts of things...

I confess I have a fantasy world in my head of just vague details. I do have city names and general geography down.

I made models of these cities in SimCity. The largest is Sep, once a peninsula... now an island stretched edge to edge with massive buildings.
