Over 300 games?! 8O. I've not heard of that game and I didn't realise that you could get games so cheaply on Steam! Do you stick to a particular type, or d'you play anything and everything?

Yeah, I've used the English Chess Forum, which is kinda well known for chess here, but I dislike it there. There's too much politics and stupid discussions, so I've stopped going there. I did meet someone there who was helping me a bit, but he seems to ignore me now :(. I need to play online more actually, but they need to be slow games as rapid ones encourage lazy thinking. I'll try to do that tomorrow if I feel up to it; haven't today cos I feel like crap :(.

Haha yes, don't worry I'm not broke, a vast majority have cost me less than £5. For a while I had a certain place that regularly had a good selection of console games for less than £3. But recently they have been pricing more accordingly, so that has dried up. Maybe a blessing in disguise as I don't have a lot of room here as it is. I'll pretty much play any type of game, as long as its fun! :)

Hmm, I see, sorry that didn't go well for you. That can be a problem with a specialized forum, you will get some people that will be the "know it all" types and value their own views too highly. I see where you're coming from, if you wanted to play a quick fire table top game you would just play checkers! But no offense to checkers, as I do like playing sometimes!

Oh Colin, i have Steam too, but i don't own 300 games on steam, i have 58, but that's only on steam, i probably have a lot more if i count all my boxed pc games and my old xbox games and my ps1 games and my DS and GBA games xD I also have a ton of books :o Right now i'm more focused on bioshock, oh and i forgot, we also have a wii :o With uhm 4 games i think? I play animal crossing on it every day! I don't play games all day though, i also like to do other stuff but then my post will probably get too long if i get started on that :x And i really love the summer sales on steam!

And i hope you feel better soon Z3n ><

Oh no Moon, I meant my number of games in total, not just Steam. If I had over 300 on Steam I would need a bigger hard drive for sure  Do you have any old boxed PC games? I don't have any, but I've seen them and they looked really cool. Big boxes full of extra goodies, it was like each game was a collectors edition as standard. I actually have a list of the games I have that I was working on displaying in digital form. Now that my purchasing has slowed down, I might get round to finishing that. Maybe even show the contents of my room too, once it isn't so messy. I'm not a very well read gentleman I'll admit, I just find it difficult to focus on reading a story without getting distracted. I've been participating quite a bit in those Steam sales, I wish they would stop repeating the same deals now though. More games on offer means more games and less money for me, yay!..

Oh i see xD Well i do know a few people who do have over 300 games in their steam library :o Not all of them installed at the same time ofcourse, and i probably made it confusing because i just meant the cd box that they go in D: But i do one big box set of Might and Magic i think, i'm probably using the wrong name but i rarely ever played that game x_x Well i do have several older games, like Stronghold Deluxe and Crusader and Dungeon Lords, and Diablo II and Sacred gold edition, and Age of mythology and the Gold edition for AOE, i actually use a laptop, i know most professional gamers do shun laptops for gaming, but a big pc collects a lot of dust, and if the house ever catches on fire with the awesome electricity being what it is, i can easily save my laptop and all my things on it :o And i just like laptops more, also because i have a very bad spine, and i would have to put a pc under my table and i need to vacuum atleast 3 times a week, oh sorry, i just noticed that i started rambling a ton, and yes i know what you mean, although i've liked the summer sales so far though, my friend even got me Borderlands to play with him :) And i love books myself, but i can't buy a ton every month even though i would love to, but we lack space for that, and the walls aren't fit for bookshelves sadly enough D:

And i will stop rambling now, sorry :x Oh and let me know if you ever feel like adding me on Steam, just thought i'd drop the idea in case you would ever want to do that :o

Jeez, And I thought my friend with over 150 was bad! I have 67 but I've only started using it for the past year. Ahh I see, I was thinking too far back there. I remember I used to go to a friends house to play different PC games in the late 90's because we couldn't afford one at the time. I had to wait until late 2000 for my first PC. I should really look into Diablo II, its still highly regarded to this day despite it being around 12 years old. With computers its all about your own needs, if you have a laptop that can run most of the things you want then its all good. I just like desktop because its much easier to upgrade the internals and also the accessories. I'm more inclined to type spelling mistakes on a laptop keyboard with my big hands

That's quite alright, I enjoy more in depth conversation anyway. Funny you mention Borderlands, that's one of the reoccurring deals. I've seen it come up 3 times now for £4.99, but its good for the price and I'm sure you will have some fun with it. If space becomes a real issue, you could always go down the e-book route if need be, but I know some people prefer the real thing. Sure, anyone is welcome to add me on steam. My username on there is "colinn_"

It's not that really, it's just that they talk too much chess politics and have lots of arguments, rather than talking about the game itself. There was a thread there recently about why the website for the British Chess Championships (which start tomorrow!) had changed and all the politics behind it :/. They also seem to have a kind of feud going with someone from another site :/.
