I named her after Zoey from, well, Zoey 101. I have a habit of naming my pets and Pokemon after TV/video game/anime/manga characters for some reason. :lol:

I'm struggling with my emotions and knowing what to do now.

Yes, about the shame thing. It's not something I have come up with on my own. I have read it, written by a psychiatrist. I do think it makes sense though.
