Seriously, David Tennant's Doctor is a lot lighter than Eccleston. I'm not saying I hate Eccleston's Doctor, not at all. I just think he was the darkest Doctor since later McCoy. I mean, at least Tennant's Doctor is more amiable with people (despite his "No Second Chances" philosophy) and more balanced. I think Eccleston was a good Doctor, but too dark and brooding and antisocial, with a much more thin facade than many others. Still, I put that down as PTSD from the Time War....
