Just today-about 8am two JW's came to my door handing out "The End of False Religions is Close" flyers. I asked how much a condo in Heaven runs.

DAMN I hate when they do that! Once two guys came to my door and when I wasn't interested, they wanted to come inside and talk with me about their religion. HA like I am that damn dumb! They didn't even get past the security door. I was home alone for crisakes and I'm female. Like I'm gonna let two strange dudes in my house, especially as F-ed up as this world is today. Besides that, my dogs would not have left them alone anyway. LoL!! !! !

When they came to my door about five years ago, my dad gave them this weird handbook of all the previous watchtower readings that didn't come true. We got it from our church when a guy that was an ex-Jehova Witness pastor came to our church and handed them out. They didn't come back until only a couple weeks ago lol. Anyways, my dad said that the JW's that came were the pastor and his wife of their local church, and he said that the wife looked very angry when my dad handed her husband that handbook. They obviously sent only the older missionaries to our door the next time they came. I couldn't find the handbook so I just nodded and then threw their Watchtower Magazine away anyways.

JW's are only trying to save your souls.

I just tell them I am happy and comfortable with my religious beliefs and they go on their way.

ahhh!! ! they got brave and attempted another knocking, this time tryed it with a more modern closer, lady looked at me like ahh ha some weird looking space age closer i doubt if that will happen,

the closer used is a dorma 7600 its silver and made in 1989

i then told her your wasting your time,! !! ! then as she went next door to neighbor, i then got out my other closer,(an old 1952 "traditional style" closer) did same as the other 2 elders came and said guys remember me now???? yea it and i still live here get a clue nobody answers their door!! take this dead end off the visit list its a waste of your time!!

when they drove past in their car i yelled maybe next time you guys will get the clue! nobody answers!! !

sorry i know it sounded mean but i acutally watched them again, YES AGAIN start to pull their religious stuff on a car body repair shop, and heard and seen the owner try to fend them off.(poor moe) they technically arent suppose to knock on a business door but they are PUSHY here.

just if i had some prewanring i would have posted a video to youtube and put it in comedy to see how the pushy god squad members react to my tactic.

when i offer to teach them, no i do not acutally follow through and take closer to their kindom hall to teach door repair, that would probably get me in troube with law. but still it seems to be the most effective way of getting them to "knock" it off with invading people's homes talking about their strict living,

id rather live a life with xmas and being able to celebrate my own birthday and recieve blood if i need it.

I'm with Bazza on this ! !! If you confront them, or annoy them, they'll take it in stride, mark your address down as being difficult, and KEEP COMING BACK ! !! They track who responds, who's wishy-washy, and so on. Just like the Mormons. They think they're doing a good deed, and if you're cranky, they think they've made some dent in your world-view.

Once more, if you want them to leave you in peace, go to a Christian bookstore, and get a book about them and why they're a cult. When they drop by, quote some details about their being a cult, and they'll cross you off their list.

So, what would happen if you went banging on THEIR door? preaching for Darwin?

I pretend i'm not home. One when they ambushed me, I told them i was a Satanist, put on my 'evil' voice & 'Hail Satan'-ed them & uttered some other allegedly demonic nonsense. They haven't been back since. If they ever return, I'll roll my eyes up into my head 7 do a 360 with my head. Do you think that'll work?

Not if they're experienced. They'll say, Oh you shouldn't pretend like that you know.

I'm sure they are but my house is clearly marked with about 4 beware of dog signs and no peddler signs if they can't figure it out they get what they deserve. For me having someone knock on my door is very stressful whether it a JW or a salesman it makes no difference I would like it if they just stayed away

I've never had one show up at my door, but I'd probably react in the same way as I do for mormons.

I try to hear them out for at least a little while and let them feel like they might have reached someone. May even accept a Book of Mormon. A couple reasons for that. First, I'm sure a bunch of people are rude, just shut the door, possibly even get upset about it. These guys don't mean any harm, in fact they're trying to do what they consider good. Cut them some slack. At the least give the polite "got a religion kthx" answer. Secondly, when they showed up at my apartment they were in black rain jackets, and I'll be damned if they didn't look like some sort of government agents. When I found out they weren't there to "get me" (Hooray paranoia, and in this case a pseudo-legitimate reason) I had no problem listening to whatever they had to say.

If they ask if they can stop by again, I'll try and give the impression that their work was "done" with me. Wouldn't start saying I'd seen the light, but I'd say I had no clue what my schedule was, but I'd take a look at what they had given me when I had the chance.

Now I may have just lucked out, but until the same ones come back again (only happened once so far) I'll probably stick with this. If they make a return visit, I'll go with the standard "I'm happy with my religion" that's been suggested by others.
