Aunty, my dad used to drive a '96 Ford Taurus like the red one in your pic, only tan. He had it from 1996 until someone rear-ended him in 2002, I believe. I remember him taking me to Las Vegas in it around 1997, when the Stardust was still standing and operating.

can you please tell me your impressions of being a passenger/driver of that car?

Yes, I did relieve my dad with the driving on certain stretches. Very comfortable car for the hot climate of southern Nevada. Handled well going thru the I-15 river canyons in Arizona, A/C stayed cool, and IIRC the radio started picking up FM's from Vegas all the way out around St. George, Utah. Back seat felt roomy also, but I wasn't as wide in those days.

how supple was the suspension in terms of filtering out road bumps/broken pavement?

I remember riding in a later model wagon variant, it felt just about exactly like my folks' Camry longroof. I thought the colors Ford chose didn't suit those, but gave the interiors points for being quite reminiscent of lava lamps.

My friends' family got the 2015 EX and my aunt has that LX - I'd say Honda's interior options are more than worth the premium. Japanese cars are fast becoming pedigreed you might say, the last RAV4 came with a Lexus RX350's V6, good for 29MPG highway and hooked up to a central diff. locker, standard with its' 4wd system. The base models of these things are actually more expensive lightly used, thanks to luxury car depreciation. The industry's come a long way, a buddy of mine rocks a 2.0L turbo Ford Escape with 280+ HP from a software tune alone. My grandparents had the original Toyota RAV4 4wd with maybe 100 ponies at the wheels, a 2009 model is below 7 seconds to 60MPH, has leather everywhere, JBL speakers and it's cheaper than a new Civic DX. With all that going for it, why should I care if it's boring?

I prefer the LX model CRV because the EX makes you take leather and sunroof, both of which I loath.

Somewhere between the Tempo and Crown Victoria. I-15 can be in pretty crappy shape through Utah south of the Provo/Orem areas until you get down past Cedar City. I remember a lot of "ROUGH ROAD" warning signs.

that tells me it is very firm bordering on harsh unless one is on glass-smooth roads, crown vics I've drove along with my older ['93] sable were like that, which was unpleasant because it excited lots of squeaks and rattles in the cabin. the squeaks and rattles drove me BATTY, so I eventually had to trade it in on a used camry which was as solid as a bank vault in comparison, as well as riding far more gently over rough roads.

Here's another of my favorites:

Chevy Z28

This is my favorite model of the Lumina (aesthetics-wise):

This is my favorite 5th Wheel----sans the slideouts:
(I've never understood those slideouts----what would one do, if they got stuck, OUT? You couldn't tow it, that way!)

Fleetwood Prowler Regal

Here's an interior, that I like:

@AuntBlabby: What shade of pink, do you like, on a car? I'm asking because the shade of that Vauxhall, on THIS page (which is GORGEOUS, IMO), is quite different from the shade of a Mary Kay car. Also, do you like the Landau roof?

@Rockymtnchris: You might want to list your motorhome, on http://www.rvtrader.com.

Gas Monkey Garage butchered one of them during an episode last year:

It started out as a 1980s model.

Thanks for the RV Trader tip, might work better than Craiglist.

I like the lower picture vauxhaul shade, but my fave pink is somewhere in between the two pics, gradient-wise. but any pink is nice :rabbit: and I like landau roofs also and wish cars nowadays offered them. but part of me wondered about their practicality when exposed to the elements, I've seen lots of 'em ragged/tattered from years of sun and rain.
