I thought you were talking about my 'bad christmas presents' thread where I mention getting some smelly candles that I can't stand! :?

Gee, I hate to disappoint people... perhaps I should just go ahead and let you run me over? :P
No.. maybe not..
Wait, maybe with just the wheels from one side...
No.. maybe not..

I'll work on this later :eye:

oh no i was not talking about the bad christmas presents thread... in fact if you could pick any scent for your powerchair what would you pick... id pick new powerchair smell... its like new car smell... only you also get the smell of brand new metal mixed in...

i think just the wheels from one side would hurt more due to pressure distribution would be more even with both sides on you... since then it would be split 200 pounds on each end of you hehe...

You're so kind to point this out

How long do you envision this chair lasting you?

hehe... yeah... i think youd like more even pressure distribution... i could first mummy wrap you in neoprene too ;) i love neoprene... soft silky slightly rubbery and squishy and kinda hugs you... id love to have a total body neoprene thingy :D

on average most powerchair users that are non nerds get about 5 years... being i am a nerd and will know when something is ready to go bad and use early intervention with my dealer to get things fixed i could possibly stretch it to 7.5 years. good thing is insurance companies use a 5 year golden yea rule... when it hits 5 years they pay for a shiny new one...

So do you plan on getting a new chair at 5 yrs to take advantage of the insurance, or will they still pay even if the chair lasts you 7 yrs?

I just got back from your website... HOLY MOLY!... you have a lot of pictures!
I didn't get past the first bunch yet, but I'll try later on.

You use a Mac? I knew you were a cool guy!
My daughter and I both have MacBooks with windows on them using parallels.

You're really into the powerchairs huh? Want to be a dealer?
With your ambition, your drive and intelligence, I'm sure you'll do fine.

I was thinking you could go into designing neoprene pressure outfits.
I believe there are computer programs that clothing designers use to help with their clothing ideas.
If so, you could create designs and farm out the work to companies with the machinery and employees to put your ideas into neoprene.
Same outfits that make all the BodyGlove items.

the insurance company either i take the new one at 5 yr mark and just have the new one ready to go as back up in case the old one goes down (this is what most people do) or not take the new one and wait for 10 years and get two new ones... its a weird system indeed!

hehe... got into the gallery huh. yes it is HUGE... just wait till i get my powerchair ;) ill be able to take pictures again at places :D dad will be forced to take a whole load of shots of me so i can show off my powerchair for all you guys ;)

yes i use a mac... its the only thing i will ever use, and have ever been using since 2005 when i switched when my windows machine finally DIED, i had that little windows machine since i was 6.

hello! i think its MEGA obvious that i am really into powerchairs hehe... i plan on becoming a RTS (rehab technology specialist) which in plain english is a powerchair dealer.

on top of being a powerchair dealer (they only work till 3:00 PM which sure as hell would not keep be occupied enough) i will also work in sensory therapy clothing and devices. so have two jobs then :D i would send my ideas to a company who does the manufacture and then i would sell the stuff... or keep it all to myself hehe...

I've got to get off this computer and get some sleep soon.
For the last three days I've been staying up past 3am... not getting much rest :eew: pretty soon I'll look like this :skull:

yeah.. I'm going to have to take that photo album in small chunks! :D

That is a weird system for buying chairs... buy one every 5 years or wait for 10!

I'm sure it helps the insurance company to do it that way.
Glad to hear you get to keep the original chair when you buy a new one.
If you build a double-decker powerchair I'm sure Cocknyrebel will come visit you... she loves double-decker buses and she lives in Canada... which doesn't really mean much because she could be living in the Yukon Territories for all I know and that's not exactly close to Chicago!

Geez.. I am tired!

Talk to you later! And I will work on that PS pic of the chair sometime Monday... er... today :coffee:

i just got up at 3:00 AM... my sleep pattern sucks, though yesterday for some reason i crashed out at 11:30 AM and slept till 1:30 PM, having very high pain levels takes a lot out of you. uh-oh, im going to find it a real b***h to try to keep myself up during the day in my powerchair ;) someone will have to make sure to have a pot and metal spatula on standby ;)

hehe, im sure you will like taking my photo album in chunks... its better that way... but remember you will always have some sort of backlog to look through with me... especially in 2 weeks when i get my powerchair ;)

yes it is definitely a weird system but works great... if you can stretch yours out for 10 years then boom you get two shiny new ones, if you only think you can make it 7.5 take one at 5 years... and if your a real dare devil and want to see if you can stretch 15 out of your powerchair you get 3 brand new shiny ones...

double decker powerchair hehe, that sounds great, you will have to do a double decker in photoshop so i know what to get Invacare to make for me on their total custom floor. thats where my powerchair is coming from right now... has to come from total custom due to how tiny i am. problem with me is if anyone comes and visits me and is cute like CockneyRebel i will expect a nice long tight hug hehe :D

go to sleep already and respond to the posts when you wake up and arent about to fall off your computer chair.. hmm... late night computer geeks...

<-- straps to hold them up

hehehe...

finally someone who gives me a little sign that people are willing to work with me and EvilKimEvil.

I just watched the whole power chair movie. I liked all the spinning and frolicking through fields. That's a nice power chair.

If you want to, you can Photoshop a power-chair-related thing for me. Could the theme be reptiles? Is there a way to incorporate reptiles into a power chair? Maybe snakes on a power chair?

hehehe... centrifugal force is great in a powerchair hehe... and talk about little speed machines with 7.5 miles per hour power, although it might seem slow for road travel off road at those speeds is fast, especially for being heavy duty high torque motors. high speed motors wont give you as much torque but i think theres some aftermarket motors for powerchairs that will get you up to 15.0 MPH. mind you any time you reach 15.0 your havin 15.0 miles per hour of G-Force going right into you everywhere, no windshield like a motorcycle just straight on G-Force... i like G-Force though but dont have the money for those aftermarket motors he he....

hehe... yes it is possible for me or one of my other photoshop crew to make you a reptilian powerchair... i would like you to head over to The Photoshop Thread HERE http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt52390.html and post a request... that way all of my photoshop buddies can collaborate on this... im good at actual retexturization of the powerchair but they will have to handle putting the snakes in ;) i think you would like one of your little baby snakes wrapped around your headrest mount rubbing its head on your neck he he :)

your powerchair photoshopping is complete!! !

Image

behold!! ! a reptilian powerchair!! !
