Dear Kevin, The U.S.A. WAS invaded...by Europeans! There were people here 5,000 years ago. Columbus was actually a conqueror who enslaved native populations, as did the Spanish. You can Google 'Mound People', 'Snake Mound', Cahokia Mounds to get an idea of the large population centers that existed here at one time. One of my personal favorites is the Bat Creek mystery. I'm not aware of much metal-working, but there are many artifacts which still exist like jewelry, carvings, of course arrowheads. If you are interested in VERY controversial theories, I can recommend Googling Barry Fell, America BC, and the Dighton Rock....Sylkat

My parents have a collection of arrow heads they have found on their property in Southern Arizona. After a good rain, is the best time to walking around the desert and find things.

Dear Kevin, on the East Coast, there are buried and sunken treasures to be found all up and down the seaboard, going all the way up into Canadian territory...the most famous Northern one is known as the Money Pit...Numerous shipwrecks have been found off the coast of Florida (there's a bunch still down there), and one of the great American historical mysteries is the fate of the Danville Train, and all that $money$ that disappeared into thin air when the train rolled away. Joseph Smith said he found and re-buried plates or tablets of solid gold, hidden by an ancient priest, but unearthed by Smith in the 1800's. There's a LOT of potential treasure buried in America! They're cool. I'll ask my mother to send photos of them. I have to warn you, Mick, it might take her a little while. My step-father is going through chemo and radiation his cancer tumor in his neck has spread to his left lung. He's got a feeding tube in his stomach and some kind of piece that supports his throat, keeps it open in place and he has an indefinite IV cath implanted in his chest. The doctors can't operate on this tumor in his neck because it's the third time it has grown and it's right on the artery. Plus she's got my old grandmother to care of because no one else will take her cause she's on the mean side. My mother wants me to come home and I probably will go back for a while and help her, and stay with my grandmother and make sure she's alright, when he gets really bad off. I know when he dies, I'm not leaving her out there in the middle of the desert alone with just my grandmother. They actually have a nice guest house so I won't actually have to live with them but I'll be really close.

My grandmother is so toxic, you are so right about that Sylkat. I'm not mean to her but I don't put up with her crap like my mother does all the time, unfortunately.

Dear Sylkat,
Now that adds to the list of reasons for why I hope I get admitted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There seems to be an abundance of treasure in addition to predictable snow.

Hello clean chatters! We have had our first influx of snow here. It seems to have made everyone act crazy. I think we know that there is plenty more coming and that winter is truly here. I hope you are all doing well!

Hey Sterfry! It sounds beautiful. It looks like it's snowing there right now. I would love to get some snow here in Norfolk, Virginia. We do sometimes but most the time we don't and everything just looks dead everywhere. Snow makes everything look beautiful again.
