There is some speculation that we may get the Pokémon Stars announcement on the 27th.

I don't see it being just an update of Sun/Moon though. I see it as a prequel to RBY set in Kanto following straight on from SM. Lillie is kidnapped by Team Rocket and you have to rescue her while battling through the gyms. The postgame is set in Alola where gyms have been formed.

Or maybe I'm just living in hopes and want to see a Rocketcentric game.

I never really liked DPPt. The franchise needed freshening up badly by that point, which BW did.

Given GF's cashing in on the Gen I craze and their obsession with Lillie my idea seems far more likely.

Doesn't anyone besides me like Diamond/Pearl/Platinum? I can't seem to find anyone who does. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I really like Gen IV. :shrug:

Never played 4th gen. I stopped buying games after the GB/GBC era because I wasn't about to continually drop money on a new system just to be able to play a few more games, so for the longest time, 3rd gen was as far as I got due to playing those games on Japanese roms. I only decided to get a 3ds when it came out because of the reverse compatibility with the older ds games, and to have it ready for 6th gen when they were released months later.

I will say I find Cynthia to have the best theme, both pre-battle and battle, so score one for 4th gen.
