I LOVE these 2....If I used one of your pictures to make a painting....would you be ok with that?

Sometimes I go on random painting sprees, and some of these photos have enough diverse colors and textures that the paint beckons....but that doesn't mean that I will paint them, just that I might.

Devils Tower, Wyoming. It is the base of a magma intrusion which happened several miles below the surface about 40 million years ago. It became famous from the 1977 film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". It's extremely popular among rock climbers, though it is also a sacred site to the indigenous population which has caused some tension.

I was in Southport yesterday for the annual 12th July parade there. I stopped over for two nights, taking in the scenery, and some of the real ale bars and the food there. Southport is a really lovely town - it's very popular as a seaside resort. It's quiet and genteel.

Only the one photo because my Mac is very poorly at the moment and I cannot get into the editing software to upload more:
