Ah, the good old days of gaming. Here's this hilarious tidbit from Tales of Phantasia:

Someone ran the English translation through a spell-check program that didn't recognize (and, apparently, automatically "corrected") the word Ragnarok. The end result is that the elves tell legends of a great cataclysm called Kangaroo.

Also, is there an actual cartridge of Pokemon Veirnamese Crystal? I know there has to be some out there because I saw a picture of somebody's GBA saying "WELCOME TO ELFS WORLD" so there has to be at least a few out there... Or did it just not sell like hot cakes like a normal pokemon game would? :?

If they really existed, Nintendo would've shut them down so fast, like they did with Pokemon Uranium.

See?

Ooooh, I get it now. Based on that image, someone took a blank flash cartridge and flashed the game into there. It neither confirms nor denies that there were carts that were distributed, but like I said, if there were any produced, Nintendo would've caught wind of it and halted their production after a few of them made it out.

The purple GBA was my first before I upgraded to the Zelda SP in 2004. Still remember that new GBA smell... so good.

I mainly use my old DS for playing Metroid Zero Mission.

I have an original DS bought on UK release and a regular New 3DS. The original DS doesn't see much use and hasn't for a while, but I would use it for dual slot mode in the Gen IV games.

I have an original Atari system from 1977 which still can play games on my modern tv.

Sweet!

I wonder if anyone still has a Fairchild Channel F or one of the home Pong systems from 1975.

That's a good question, possibly but not sure.

I haven't played video games for three years. I'm thinking of getting myself a Nintendo Wii-U. By the time I get around to buying that, they'll probably come out with the Nintendo Wii-Us.

My avatar almost seems to have a holographic effect. Schultz and LeBeau almost look more like spirits than characters. It's very strange.

Princess Maker Refine is being localized! And no, despite the name it is not some cutesy girl game that's suitable for small children! 8O

But AAAH, still, I can't believe any of the Princess Maker games are being localized!! :D :D

I've been a big fan of the series ever since I was in tenth grade, and I always had to play them kind of blindly in Japanese.

It came out in 1991, and there were five games, and not one of them were translated into English.

But now has some company called CFK has acquired them and is hoping to translate more of the games into English.

They came out with one game a few months ago, and are coming out with another one in February, so I'm wondering if they'll continue to release these games on a regular basis.

Gyaaah, that would make me so happy!!

I don't even care if the translation is bad, just being able to understand what is going on in my favorite games would be enough for me.

I'm probably going to regret eating all this cake I made.
