Lilacs. My dad went to visit my grandma today and brought me a big bunch of lilacs :)
Now my room smells like summer.

I got some bonus content in email from a Weird Al Yankovic tribute CD I pre-ordered.
I went to my grandparents for lunch.
A friend is sending me some money he owes me.

Another mum telling me at the school gates that the two kids I go into school to do 1:1 tutoring with have been telling my daughter (and anybody else who will listen) that she's so lucky because her mum is 'lovely, patient, and explains everything so well'. I'm a teacher who's had a career break whilst being a full time mum, and was just dipping my toes in the water before diving back in; this was a real confidence booster! It also made the absolute exhaustion I feel after every two hour session worthwhile - I'm well out of practice, I used to teach 9 - 3.30, five days a week and had forgotten (or blanked out) how frigging difficult it is to attempt to act 'normal' for any length of time.
