Do totally blind people see darkness? What I heard is what they see is the same thing that we see out of the back of our heads. nothing.

We had a person who posted here once who was completely blind since birth.. she used a screen reader, I remember she said the doctors were always debating weather or not she could see light.

I imagine they do sometimes since some wear sunglasses.

to keep other people from seeing the grotesqueness of their eye injury or trauma or their lack of eye pigmentation or nystagmus or to draw attention to the fact they they are blind. Inside, in an unfamiliar place, they're not bound to use a cane.

they're generally not sun glasses but completely black glasses as far as i know..
blind people's eyes, if intact, may move around, wander or look otherwise "odd" so some people cover them..

Actually I had a friend that was completely blind, she claimed that she saw nothing but that sunlight still 'hurt' (not in the way it hurts us but in the way that it bothered her eyes) and so she wore glasses for that reason, though it was also, as Fudo stated, because her eyes moved oddly

Many blind people can detect light to a small degree, and if they can't they tend to have disrupted sleep cycles. I think that's correct but I'm not certain.
The sunglasses may also be to give a clue to the general public that they are blind.
