What's the deal with 11:11?

I see 11:11 on the clock a lot..sometimes twice in one day...at least a few times every week.
What exactly is that supposed to mean?

Other than it being 11:11am or 11:11pm, I have no idea.

that the current time is 11:11?

i think some people think it brings luck... don't quite understand why.

I get the 11:11 thing, also 1:11. The new age types have some far fetched notions about it, if you google you will see.

Personally I think it's to do with aspie clock stuff, I mean I don't need to use an alarm clock I just think of a particular time I need to wake up just before I go to sleep and then I wake up at that time.
so, uh it's something along those lines, having seen it once, my brain is now unconsciously trained to look at the clock at that time. It gets annoying when it's nearly everyday, lately it's eased off a bit and I only see it occasionally.

OMG!! Ok, I see 9:11 ALLLLLL the time!! Day, night, and i've been seeing that exact time a few times a week, used to be almost every day for the past 4 years!! ! I don't get it!! I didn't have any people I knew perish on 9/11, so that's not it....I don't know what it means!! Help!?

AH GAD! you too! I've been going through this since 1996. It got to be extreme about 6 years ago...I felt like I was being controlled! It slowed down now to once in a blue moon. NOW!
my eyes go to the clock at 9:11. It's driving me CRAZY. I thought that all this would stop once my son was home from Iraq but it's still happening even with him living in the house.
I "thought" it was a culmination of my fears. I don't think so. I don't know what it is!

11:11 is when the clock has come to the point of eleven past eleven.

the number will remain like this, for a whole minute
untill it changes to
11:12

I think it means it's time to wind it up, or change the battery...
