I got in an extra hour at work today, my store is holding their customer 1st meetings this week. So I got paid to sit on my ass for an hour. :D The store manager will typically give a short lecture and go through our store's progress in relation to other stores within the company and rival companies. Then we list suggestions to better our customer service. Today she also gave a lecture on what she calls red and green management leadership types, meaning effective or not.

Then we did a small survey that wasn't required but that almost no one wanted to do. One question asked: "How would you best describe red leadership?" I answered: "Communism."

I do stupid crap like this all the time, many surveys I've wacky'ed up. Not official ones obvoously. Do you do this on surveys too?

I always try to answer survey questions as truthfully as I can because I want my opinions to be represented in the results as accurately as possible.

I've done things like that before, I was a door to door window and door salesman (worst job ever!) and we reported to the Cordelia branch and they asked me over the phone what was a good amount to sell on the first week your on the job and I said, "f you you know I didn't make a sale that week!" The answer was one and every week you try and double it, I knew this but I felt like being so truthful at the time! =)

Sometimes I get tired when filling out job applications and list my last employer as Weyland-Yutani and my reason for leaving something like, "I destroyed the universe and couldn't afford to replace it".

I work for a company where your opinions don't count, they're just putting on a show. But like I said, I usually try to be serious with official documents, but if I get a survey relating to how my shopping experience at Best Buy is, or website or whoever requests you do a survey, I'm gonna have a little fun. I don't vandalize the whole thing, I'll put in something here or there but really put in some suggestions that I actually want to be heard (i.e. bigger music section, which is 1/4 the size it used to be).

A couple weeks ago I ordered pizza for delivery for the first time from that particular pizzeria (usually I dine-in there). They had a box on the site's order form that asked for any special requests pertaining to your order's delivery. I said: "Please don't knock over the statue with your car," just to f*** with them. (referencing the running gag in the first Home Alone film)

I like your answer, but "Moa TseTung" or Leonid Breshnev" would have got you a bonus mark.

Strangely, I never get asked for my opinions or ideas at work. Not since I wrote a business case (with full cost breakdown and benefits) for us buying a tiger to keep in the office. I sent this to the UK Operations Manager and it got passed up the management chain until it hit Director level - and I work in a big multinational company.

:hail:

I used to work (briefly) at a religiously-affiliated company, and there was a survey on the intranet about why the employees worked there. Options ranged from (paraphrased) "I answered a calling to serve God" to "I'm here for the money." Another co-worker and I decided to have a little fun and we each took the survey several times, answering "I'm here for the money" each time, trying to skew the results. I never found out the results, as I left to work elsewhere.

blocking out the scenery breaking my mind...

To wit, I remain unsuccessful my search for that elusive 'SURVEY CREW AHEAD' I often see posted road signs while out and about; in some 40 years of driving now, have yet to ever come across these surveyors; no pens, no pads, nor questions a survey any too...

They have cloaking devices and their job doesn't take that long to do as constructing or maintaining the road.

"They have cloaking devices and their job doesn't take that long to do as constructing or maintaining the road."

- indeed - but 'if' so, how did YOU manage to see them/determine this? Too, based on the chancy conditions roadways generally speaking, they should be spending more time on those seemingly 'invisible' as band-aid on a gaping wound repairs they by evidence facilitate...

How can I see them? I have tetrachromatic vision, so I see 33% more than you silly humans.
