For over a week every few nights I'd see a small roach bug and it'd run off. Well tonight I saw it and stopped peeing and grabbed the foot powder and tracked it down and gave it a few smacks. My parents door was open and the powder was going everywhere mom was busting a gut laughing but after days I HAD TO KILL THE DAMN ROACH!! !! I HATE ROACHES!! !! ! I had told my parents I heard it they asked how then I said I meant I saw it (which I did see it crawling on the ground). Mom was still laughing and I told her I do hear bugs if they are flying around I HAVE to get up track them down and KILL them!! ! They WILL keep me up at night. I hate bugs!! !

Ever since Katrina hit down south the Palmetto bugs have been more plentiful here in NC/SC. I go completely nuts when I see one. I can kill a regular roach with little fear, but those giant ones make me freak out pretty bad. I reached for the TP one day, mid-stream, and one was on the TP roll! I stopped the stream and jumped across the bathroom to get something to kill it with, LOL> I didn't realize I had that kind of muscle control!

y'know what is completely whack? i am allergic to cokroaches. i was getting allergy testing one a few years ago, and i am really allergic to the little buggers. they are not common where i live, here in the cold north, so i don't even understand how i developed the problem in the first place.

it seriously limits my travel options. are people commonly allergic in those warmer areas that have more roaches?

Keep a plastic container and a thick piece of paper around.Even if you want to kill them at least keep it to trap them quickly in case you don't have something laying around to kill them with.

We are being invaded by stinkbugs here in Pennsylvania. Very annoying.

I have never heard of such a thing- although if we can be allergic to dust mites, then why not? It just sounds like a very random thing to have on an allergy test panel.

yeah, i thought was odd too, but it turns out it is about equally common as a dust mite allergy. isn't that strange?

what freaks me out is that exposure is usually a precursor, and cockraoch infestations are not too common up here. how the heck did i get to be allergic? unless i lived in a place without knowing it was infested.
