We all do absentminded stuff, what's something you've done recently?

Last week, I was drinking water and for some unknown reason, I forgot to swallow, so I poured water all over myself.

I got a traffic ticket in late August. I went to see the magistrate because I was going to plead not guilty. Court date got scheduled on Sept. 17, but forgot about it and panicked about it the next day, I went down to the county court house, not knowing if they'd hand cuff me when I told them what happened. But they just said that it was a city issue and I had to go to a city police district station to get it straightened out. I went, and my date was rescheduled, and no handcuffs. This isn't the first time I've forgotten about court.

Every time I leave the house, I forget sometime I wanted to bring with me, sometimes 2 or 3 times per trip.

I went to by some 1-cent stamps at the post office, but couldn't think of how many I needed. I could imagine/"feel" how many, but for some reason couldn't turn the thought into a number-word, like "twenty." After saying "uhhh" in front of the clerk for way too long I remembered that I had a 5-dollar bill in my wallet. So I said I'd buy 5 dollars' worth. The clerk said, "you know, that's a lot of stamps..." At that point I said I'd come back later, and bolted.

D*mn glitchy brain.

Last night I was sitting on the front porch smoking and I had been drinking a little. I went to open the door and go back in but it was locked. I pulled a couple of times and finally gave up. I called my dad and got the code to open the garage door and when I went to put it in I realized I had come out the garage and not the front door.

i was in chemistry class today and responded to the teacher's question about a diagram of atomic structures and incorrectly pronounced one of them to be triatomic, when clearly it was tetra-atomic

i saw it was 4, i knew it was 4, but for some reason my mouth said 3

Mostly communication things.

I forgot my headphones at my clubhouse, today. I was sure that I had them with me. My friend dropped them off for me, and I thanked him.
