Yesterday, my mom bought a beautiful manufactured house
for about $70,000. Everything is concrete, so there
isn't much my sister and I can do about it.

I'd like to know if any Aspies here
reside in a manufactured house.

Is it worth it? Do you like your manufactured house?

I've been looking at manufactured housing for my proposed retreat from the NTs. Most of the ones I've seen have been 2x6 wood posts with masonite style cladding. They have some paneling that's lighter than gypsum board but more durable than the notorious wood panels they used in the 70s for inside and what is basically vinyl siding for outside, although each manufacturer calls it something different as a sales tactic. What brand is this home? Here in California they mainly sell Fleetwood and Clayton. Nevada is full of Kit dealers, but Kit only has a couple on this side of the mountains. I looked at something called a Park Model RV that is half RV, half mfg home. It's not really legal to live in it here. You can't tow it like an RV either. It's mainly for people who like skirting the laws. Concrete is so heavy that I'm surprised any manufacturer would use it, since they have to drive these things long distances. Unless this is a prefabricated house that comes in pieces that is assembled on site, and not technically a "manufactured home".
