I woke up on Monday morning and went over to his place to have coffee like I usually do, and he's gone. His wife was also gone. I've been trying to raise him by phone, but still cannot. I'm beginning to get a little worried. He's done this before, but he always told me where he was going. He has told me nothing. I'm not going to the police, because that would waste their time. I'm hoping he'll be back tonight or tomorrow, because he has to work. Luckily for me, I've been drinking all the coffee

If you haven't found him by tomorrow, I think you should call around all his friends and other relatives, and if they know nothing, call the police.

Yeah, this seems the best thing to do. There is a chance he might be on holiday since his wife was gone on holiday. Do they both have mobile phones (cell phones)? If they both have their own mobile/cell phones, try calling them both. (I know you said you tried to phone him, but I'm not sure whether they both have their own phones.)
